Paid Early (Saturday morning) this month.
I was happily suprised! I did not expect to be paid until Monday. I found out, "when" we get paid has a lot to do with which bank we use. I have already switched my Social security to "my other bank", and poof, it came on Tuesday, not Wednesday, like it always used to come. But, Im nervous about changing VA deposit bank's. Why? Because if someone (including ME!) messes something up my life will be miserable for months or years..if I know how VA works. When I changed my bank for social security, they sent me a letter informing me of the change about 3 months early. While it did not happen fast, it was safe and secure. Did others get …

Part of my claim was never paid.
I had cervical spinal surgery in April of 2020 and was awarded 100% temporarily for April and May of 2020. I was also awarded 60% for August. They never paid me the 100% for April. How do I go about getting the pay they said I was awarded for the month of April? They paid me for May and August.

HLR informal review
While in the process of waiting for the hearing I scheduled for April 2 I have some questions. So after filing the HLR I currently have had two claims closed and one still open. The evidence I submitted in the claims can it now be used and brought to light proving my claim in the HLR since it’s all in my file now? Got a text this morning to schedule the conference for HLR from Nov 20

Opinion on Personal Statement
I am writing to provide additional information in support of my claim for benefits related to my diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, and Chronic Pancreatitis as well as other diagnosed illnesses, in which I believe are connected to my military service, due to exposure to Trichloroethylene (TCE) at Edwards AFB as applicable under the PACT ACT and a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) during my active duty service at Edwards AFB. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designated Edwards Air Force Base (AFB) as a Superfund site due to the contamination of trichloroethylene (TCE). TCE contamination was found in soil and groundwater at the base. A number of US Government …

ptsd Family Caregiver Program Eligibility For Ptsd Rated Sc Veteran Post 9/11
I am only providing the information that show that a veteran with SC (Rated and Service Connected) PTSD could be eligible for the new Caregiver program that just started in May 2011. Others may be eligible and there is a lot more info out there! Hope this helps, I wanted to figure this out before applying with the wife. Here's the link to where I found the info: VA-2011-VHA-0012-0001.pdf (EDIT-since I posted this, the VA has moved the information that was attached to this link, and I have yet to find it elsewhere) Before I go further, I must say this. Although I am thankful for this benefit...I do find it backwards and unfortunate to not take care of the previous ge…

Secondary conditions
Greetings all! I am rated at 100% P&T. I totally understand I will not increase my percentage nor va comp pay. I will focus on one issue…Chronic Pain, and Depression, secondary to residual pain from 4 knee replacements , and lower back issues. Both are service related and part of my current 100%. The related pain, limited function of my body ad a whole, has effected me so much, I am almost a total recluse. Limited driving, setting, standing…you know the drill. As a result, I have been treated for severe depression. I am maxed out on depression medications. Has anyone had positive VA secondary connection to an existing rated condition, and did you get rated. Thanks….an…

Just a couple of questions...
If the VA decision letter states a veteran has one year to appeal, and before the year is expired the VA closes his appeal then what recourse would the veteran have. What You Should Do If You Disagree With Our Decision If you do not agree with our decision, please download and complete VA Form 21-0958, “Notice of Disagreement”. You can download the form at http://www.va.gov/vaforms or you can call us at 1-800-827-1000. You have one year from the date of this letter to appeal the decision. The enclosed VA Form 4107, “Your Rights to Appeal Our Decision,” explains your right to appeal. A veteran files a claim for an injury to his [L] foot, and his [R] …
