Internet Broadband for Disabled Veterans
Correct me if I’m wrong but there no internet broadband programs specifically for disabled veterans that’s separate from the ACP. As a 100% service connected disabled veteran, SMC for housebound status. Broadband is crucial for me to prevent further insolation, conduct business and shopping, and attend virtual medical appointments. That VA furnished tablet with a limited bottleneck hotspot is not sufficient. We need and deserve free or discount4ed services. I’ve written to public officials on the federal, state, and local levels. You should do the same, including both senators and congressional representatives.

Primary Care Nexus Letter Medical Opinion (Format or Examples)
Hello fellow Vets- I'm working with my primary care who is very willing to help provide me with a quality Nexus Letter. I've explained to him how the language and information needs to be very particular. I have searched this website and found a few things. I found the one below posted in 2018. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is still current? Is this complete and accurate or claims in 2024? I appreciate any input suggestions or pointing me to a location I may have missed. Posted November 26, 2018 There must be some deficiency in the current nexus, else the judge would not ask. There is info here on what a nexus letter must contai…

Am I entitled to SMC S
I have 70% + TDIU. My other disabilities are from the same cause, but are not in VA terms interrelated. All disabilities caused by solvents the 70% is brain w/ acquired psych. I also have 20% each leg for neuropathy, 50% OSA, 30 % Gut, 10% anal leakage everything attributed to solvent poisoning. On the calculators this is an additional 80% I just received the results of a higher level review and they made no mention of SMC S. I did not know about this and did not request it. But my understanding is they are supposed to award it without being asked.

ON A HIGHER LEVEL REVIEW ARE THEY REQUIRED TO DISCUUS ALL CLAIMS OF ERROR?
I requested a higher level review after the last decision because they screwed up the effective date by a year. I also argued that they screwed up by giving me just 50% for OSA because the claim was for sleep disorders and they gave me nothing for insomnia, and central apnea - both found to exist and to be connected by the BVA. And they never rated or discussed chronic fatigue which was in the original application and supported by the evidence. They granted me the additional year of back pay. However, they didn't say a word about the other claims of error. They invited me to submit a supplemental claim stating: "Please note: The evidentiary record closed as of the da…

Paid Early (Saturday morning) this month.
I was happily suprised! I did not expect to be paid until Monday. I found out, "when" we get paid has a lot to do with which bank we use. I have already switched my Social security to "my other bank", and poof, it came on Tuesday, not Wednesday, like it always used to come. But, Im nervous about changing VA deposit bank's. Why? Because if someone (including ME!) messes something up my life will be miserable for months or years..if I know how VA works. When I changed my bank for social security, they sent me a letter informing me of the change about 3 months early. While it did not happen fast, it was safe and secure. Did others get …

Part of my claim was never paid.
I had cervical spinal surgery in April of 2020 and was awarded 100% temporarily for April and May of 2020. I was also awarded 60% for August. They never paid me the 100% for April. How do I go about getting the pay they said I was awarded for the month of April? They paid me for May and August.

HLR informal review
While in the process of waiting for the hearing I scheduled for April 2 I have some questions. So after filing the HLR I currently have had two claims closed and one still open. The evidence I submitted in the claims can it now be used and brought to light proving my claim in the HLR since it’s all in my file now? Got a text this morning to schedule the conference for HLR from Nov 20

Opinion on Personal Statement
I am writing to provide additional information in support of my claim for benefits related to my diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, and Chronic Pancreatitis as well as other diagnosed illnesses, in which I believe are connected to my military service, due to exposure to Trichloroethylene (TCE) at Edwards AFB as applicable under the PACT ACT and a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) during my active duty service at Edwards AFB. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designated Edwards Air Force Base (AFB) as a Superfund site due to the contamination of trichloroethylene (TCE). TCE contamination was found in soil and groundwater at the base. A number of US Government …
