Health Care Eligibility Expanded effective Mar. 5, 2024
Read about it here: https://news.va.gov/press-room/veteran-toxins-hazards-serving-eligible-va/ However, perhaps someone could enlighten me. I signed up for VA health care way before Mar. 5. 2024, WITHOUT applying for benefits, and I was not exposed to any of the AO or any of the other Pact Act Stuff.

Pact Act claim question?
Hello all, So, I was awarded 100% PnT for Pact Act claims today. I filed July 2022 and I think they made a mistake for back pay and dating my award. The Chronic Rhinitis at 10% is dated 2022 but the Sinusitis which is a pact act claim at 50% is dated June 30 2023. I have to appeal this right? Or file a supplemental form For the back pay? I was currently at 90% and if they would've given the Sinusitis the same effective date I would be 100% as of Aug. 10, 2022. Look at the wording on my decision letter. Are they wrong or am I wrong? Chronis Rhinitis WE CONSIDERED WHETHER YOUR CONDITION RESULTED FROM A TOXIC EXPOSURE RISK ACTIVITY (TERA) IN SERVICE.…

Sleep Apnea as a Secondary to?
I just filed my first claim with the VA 20 months ago. I have successfully been awarded tinnitus, anxiety disorder, asthma bronchial, and headaches. I began using a CPAP 10 years ago at my own cost and have been since. Since registering with the VA they now provide supplies. I badly want to connect sleep apnea to my service for obvious reasons and daily I am fearful of the regulations changing. I do have two buddy letters in support. One was from my wife while on Active duty and one was from my 2nd wife, now my 2nd EX. I am a Gulf War-era vet so I get those presumptives associated with that era. I have a CT scan scheduled for next Tuesday for sin…

To Clarify Theresa M. Aldrich "Tbird" is the Founder of HadIt.com Veterans
I am the sole founder of HadIt.com. There is some confusion on the web, and I want to clarify that. Founder of HadIt.com Theresa M. Aldrich "Tbird" Any claims to be the founder or involved in the founding or planning of HadIt.com other than myself, Theresa M. Aldrich, "Tbird HadItcom," are false. There has never been a staff. There has always been just me, Theresa M. Aldrich "Tbird" Navy veteran—other than a few volunteer moderators on our discussion forum. Back claim question…..
So I’m new here after being kinda little fed up with Reddit. I have a back claim question….. I got out in ‘05 and had service connection for, “ Postoperative residuals, left knee anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and medial meniscus debridement Service-connected disability? Yes. Effective date: 11/19/2005 “ So over time my knees got worse and my back did too. In 2014, I had terrible back pain with sciatica on right side. I went to my primary care and after a x-ray I was diagnosed with “ degenerative narrowing of the l4-5 and l5-s1 discs, with early osteoarthritis” and right side Sciatica. I went a few more times for sciatica over the years. With that pa…

Tinnitus Service Connected but Hearing Loss Denied
Hello, I’m new to the community and wanted to get some advice. I’m service connected for Tinnitus but was denied Hearing Loss due to my hearing not meeting the requirements at the time of testing. I later developed hearing loss and now wear hearing aids in both ear. I was planning on doing a VA claim for hearing loss again but didn’t know what I should do… has anyone had this experience? I have Audiograms from both VA and personal ENT showing proof of Hearing Loss and my ENT also documented that it was likely due to my service in the Gulf War. I didn’t know if I needed to file a supplemental claim or submit a new claim….

Shoulder claim question.
Im filing a claim for bilateral shoulder pain. I tore my left shoulder labrum doing PT in the gym in Kuwait, but never got seen because it was the week right before the invasion in 2003. Never had it fixed before I got out cause I had to extend for ACL/Meniscus repair in 2005. 2014 I had a primary care visit for left shoulder pain and a lidocaine injection. A few months later an MRI that diagnosed a complex left shoulder torn labrum, old fracture and osteoarthritis. The pain is now over on my right shoulder and I think there may be some issues on that side. I also keep having left side trap muscle pain with tingling in the upper back and arms/hands. So w…
