ptsd Iris Vs Truth... Another Adventure With The Va
Update on my initial PTSD/+other conditions claim at just short of one year at VARO: I knew this would be slow, especially after finding the hadit site, so have been trying to be patient. Claim went in Feb 2011, finally got C&P first of November. Claim went to rating board November 17. I sent copies of bankruptcy and foreclosure along with my request to expedite due to hardship. After a month or so, I began sending IRIS requests to my VARO (Wichita, KS) for updates. Each response (which seemed to respond directly to my questions) told me clearly that my claim had been "flagged to expedite due to hardship." That would be at least four IRIS responses. Afte…

Temporary% Issue
I applied for an extension on my temporary 100% and it was denied. The va said that I didn't show enough medical evidence. I submitted a work certificate from my doctor. It showed the date of my surgery, what type of surgery that was performed, the date I was released to go back to work and my limitations. I heard that I needed a letter from my doctor saying that I needed to be out of work for the amount of time I was out. The problem is the doctor's nurse said she will not write a letter because she said that she never heard of the va asking for a letter. She said that she needs a va form to fill out. What can I do to recoup this back pay?

Survivng Spouses Benefits
Hi. My father, who served 29 years in the Army and is a Vietnam Vet (with 4 of those being Navy) passed away on April 26th, 2012. My mother is still alive and having trouble with getting her survivor benefits. My question is how long does it take for the VA to actually take care of its service mens families after there death? My mom currently has no source of income and the VA tells her that it takes time to get her benefits IF she even gets any. She has done everything they asked of her. The VA has even taken what money my mom had in her bank without any warning or explanation of why they took it! Can someone please tell us where we turn now? Mom has not been able to pay…

Withdrew A Claim
So after 5 months of having a 'ghost' claim on eBenefits (error when you try to open it, my VSO, "Peggy" and others cannot see what the contentions are) I requested to withdraw the claim I didn't submit. I can't see wasting time on something like this or having it hold up my appeals/DRO review any longer. Since I didn't submit it, though, I don't know if I shot myself in the foot or did myself a favor. I guess since no one could tell me what the claim was for, it really doesn't matter much now.

Contacting Members Of Congress/senate
Ok guys I know that I should probably not but I am so tired of not knowing what is going on. I believe that I need to get others involved with my process. I have all of my issues well documented in my medical records for everything that I am claiming. I started this process on 05/11 and am still waiting. i have no need for nexus statements, IMO's, buddy statements, etc.. due to having everything well documented. i am claiming bilateral shoulder (hadit search for so confused) bilateral knee, and lung condition. I have been to 2 separate C&P's and have not had the examiner use any equipment other than an Mri machine to diagnose my torn tendons, torn rotator cuff, h…

Help Needed With Major Depression Calim
Hello, All I am new to the forum. I am hoping for a little advice from some of you with knowledge on the subject. I seperated from the USAF in 2003 due to depression. I became a police officer on the outside since that's all I had done. In 2005 I was awarded 30% SC for depression. In February of 2011 i was hospitlized for suicidal ideations and lost my ablility to be a police officer and was reassigned. Now I am 50% for Major depression and 70% combined. Things have gotten much worse and I fear I am going to lose my job due to days missed. It is also causing my marriage to fail. I am serverely depressed and in a constant state of panic/anxiety. I would apprec…
