Help Needed With Major Depression Calim
Hello, All I am new to the forum. I am hoping for a little advice from some of you with knowledge on the subject. I seperated from the USAF in 2003 due to depression. I became a police officer on the outside since that's all I had done. In 2005 I was awarded 30% SC for depression. In February of 2011 i was hospitlized for suicidal ideations and lost my ablility to be a police officer and was reassigned. Now I am 50% for Major depression and 70% combined. Things have gotten much worse and I fear I am going to lose my job due to days missed. It is also causing my marriage to fail. I am serverely depressed and in a constant state of panic/anxiety. I would apprec…

tdiu Questions-Not Sure Where To Post This.
Recently, I posted information pertaining to a claim that was granted by the Board of Veterans Appeals after eight long years. However, at this time I have not received any additional information regarding the processing of the claim by the Regional Office other than I received a call from the Attorney(on 4/12/2012) who represented the claim to say that he had been in touch with the Regional Office and that they should hear something from them within the next thirty days.(I sure hope so). Anyway, one of my questions that I would like to ask is that in 2007, I file a claim for Indivdual unemployability and it was denied for the following reason(s): According to VA, a rev…

How Much Can I Trust The Benefit Letter On Ebenefits?
Today I come home and check ebenefits to find my claim "Closed" and the download VA letters showing two new letters.... one is a Benefit Verification AB8 letter showing 100% disability payment amount, with a effective date of Dec. 1, 2011, the other is the Disabled Veteran Civil Service Preference AB4 . CAN I TRUST THIS? My bank is not yet showing the retro, and I have not received my decision packet yet either. I have read many times to not trust ebenefits..... But what about the letters? ....the benefit letter states: "This letter certifies that xxxxxxxxxxx is receiving service-connected disability compensation from the Department of Veteran Affairs. I …

New Or Reopen Claims?
I am currently 80% Permanent and Total IU and I filed several claims about 7 years that were denied because the VA said they were not service connected. The claims were for GERD and Bi-Lateral Peripheral Neuropathy (not diabetic). The PN was diagnosed by the VA in 2004 and I am also being treated for Gerd. I am sure they are both related to the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune ( was there 1982-84)and was wondering should I file to reopen these claims because of this new evidence. Could these claims could aid in the future for SMCs or getting schedular 100% or could this cause the VA to re-look at my IU conditions.
