I am looking for some insight as to what to expect. I would like to be better prepared when all this gets going. If you have been through this and have insight as to what to do to prepare for the interview, what to bring or if you know of a website that has a list of "to-dos" that would be great. I just got a tip that I should be receiving an approval letter any day. Thanks

Thanks to all for this great forum, I have a SCD (30 Yrs.), will soon have total knee replacement surgery..... Am wondering what I can do afterwards as far as preferential treatment towards employment with the Fed G'ment or State G'ment or any additional help that I may be entitled to..Do any private nationwide companies, etc., offer preferential hiring for 30% + Disabled Veterans... I am 52 yrs old. I need help!!! I know that after the surgery I'll be entitled to 30 to 60% disabilty from the VA, but I still need something or I'll lose my house, which is not great and I'm upside down on... The job I now work is not going to wait on me to recuperate and get up to full …

I applied for the homestead and got 10% basically off my roughly 200k home for property taxes. I was 100% (not total and permanent at this time - just got total and permanent a couple of months ago or so and didn't apply in time for the 2020 year). I'm now 100% T&P (Total and Permanent). I reapplied on this and it's up to 300k for 100% T&P for the state of Minnesota. I'm just wondering though is it normal to only get roughly 10% off property taxes for someone 100% disabled? Anyone from the state of Minnesota know for the most part?

Hi everyone, I am just seeking information about possible assistance due to the need for my husband to relocate due to medical reasons. We currently live in New Mexico at 7500 feet, my husband has been told he will need a second bypass surgery and simply put, cannot remain living at 7500feet, he has also developed chronic Valley Fever, a fungal infection that causes lesions in the lungs, and doctors have told him he should move to prevent constant exposure to this fungus in the soil of the southwest. Unfortunately we are not in a position to afford to move anywhere right now (house worth less than the mortgage). My husband is currently 100% for PTSD, 60% of IHD, and 2…

Hello Folks, I am intending to buy a house in the beautiful State of West Virginia (Huntington), and currently I live in Lansing, MI (not so nice). I found an interesting HUD house that has been foreclosure. I know that there are programs which allow homeless veterans to live in HUD houses, but since I am not homeless thus I do not fit that profile. So I was wondering if been a 80% disabled veteran would in any way help me in purchasing a HUD house. Thanks, tk3000

I was wondering if anyone has any luck with HUD-VASH program? Or any program? tried all of them and seems links, phone numbers etc keep you going into circles without any answers, help, etc. I have a big family and have not worked since August 2013. My claim for Compensation and SSDI keep getting sent back for various reasons. Our family will be losing our residence very soon. I did call to 800# and did have a representative call me back. Just wondering if anyone had any other way to get anything expedited as our family will become homeless soon. Might have to move out of state and have to change VAMC's, But rather not because the VAMC I have is the best as far as healthc…
