VA Disability for Depression?
So here it is going on 4 years since I was honorably discharged from the military. Since I have been out, I seem to hit these depressing slumps of missing the military, wishing I could go back in (unable to go back in on account of a medical issue), having adjustment issues to not having the structure in my life as well as I am always "military minded" about how I deal with stress, people, other issues. I expect everyone have the same mentality from my family to my friends. I was treated once for anger issues while in the military, but this depression crap has me completely off the wall at times. I lose control when people make simple mistakes as well as ask me what I con…

ptsd What The Hell...
Ok so last Friday I received a letter from the VA telling me that my disability rating had been increased to 100%. I went down to the PH VSP office to get a letter for the local AF Post so that I could get on and get my new CAC card and was told that my 100% was temporary and thus my wife and children do not get any health insurance. The kids are on Med. But the State office says that my VA disability is to high and is considered as unearned income. Go figure I thought I earned it. Anyway. They tell me that I do not get px/commissary privileges or anything. I am glad to have the extra money. I DO NOT plan on reporting the increase. This will most likely come back to bite …

Multiple Disabilities
Hello, I believe that such question have been asked before but I was looking around and was lost in an ocean of information without a specific answer. If one has 30% disability and is granted 10% for a secondary disability (related to the primary disability) as far as payment/benefit is concerned should one receive 40% or the equivalent to 10% added up to 30%? thanks tk3000

Iu Long Term?
just wanna ask anyone ,"Is it clausable that these benifits are for ever?" or is it a patch,a temporary fix, I been on IU and SSDI since 2002 VA payed me back to 1998, Is it gonna end? when am I gonna get the C&P? Is that designed to cut you off? CAUSE IT SURE SEEMS LIKE IT TO ME not trying to burst any bubbles but I"am really concerned..you know if they want they can say you can work selling news papers...what is in store around the corner what is the rule thumb? is it posible to never get a C&P? really I'am new to this..the C&P thing seems hostile are they really out to cut us off?

Varicose Sele
I had a surgical procedure while on active duty during Desert storm in 1991, it was to remove a varicose sele. It caused me pain in my legs, mostly my left. I had difficulty standing or sitting for periods of time. I knew nothing of filing for disability back then, nor did I care. But since then the pain in my legs has started back and the discomfort, stress is back again. I have a occupation where I am on my feet most of the day. And the pain is killing me. Can I file now for that procedure or am I wasting my time. Thanks

Bath to shower conversations
I recently moved to a (partial) handicap apartment, it has one bathtub. If owner/management would allow a tub to shower conversation at my expense! I’m 72, spouse is 62, I’m 100% P&T with the VA. My wife is also severally disabled as well, she can’t stand more than a few minutes - both of us are very high risk of falling and unable to get up without assistance. Will the VA allow expenses for a converstion?
