Different ROM - which does VA use for compensation?
I’ve searched, but can’t seem to locate my answer. I have bad knees, and during my C&P, the doctor wrote down three sets of ROM - initial, after three, and during pain. Which ROM does the VA use when deciding which percentage to give?

Need help with Spine C&P exam questions, etc. ankylosing spondylitis
I am serviced connected for ankylosing spondylitis back in 1985. I had a C&P exam on 7-7-19 since I am asking for an increase in my cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral ratings. After speaking with the DAV to find out progress and info on my exam, the Rep. noted sort of what I expected. Radiculopathy was noted and ROM was 0-15 for cervical, and 0-25 for back. I am currently rated as Cervical 30%, Thoracic 10%, and Lumbosacral 40%. The main question that I have is relating to the thoracic 10% and lumbosacral 40%. I am confused on these two. Is Lumbosacral separate from the thoracic/others ? Since my back ROM is at 0-25, does this mean that my thoracic might increase fro…

Confused? 30% or 50% - Migraines C&P Exam
Greetings, I am trying to decipher if after I am granted service connection for migraines whether I will be possibly rated at 30% or 50%. My C&P exam results below are a little contradictory. If I go by the questions then it will probably be 30% because the C&P doctor marked "no" for severe economic inadaptability but he also marked "yes" for affects my ability to work - further sating that I miss several days a month and work with out pay due to migraines. So if some one could please give me some guidance? I know this is just your opinions based on your experiences and I need to wait for the big brown (white) envelope but it's just so confusing. Please …

Sleep apnea secondary to TBI
Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and had a question in regards to getting compensation for sleep apnea. I know hey are making it harder for vets to get compensation for sleep apnea these days. I finally have my C&P exam tomorrow. I was told some time ago that it may be hard for me to get compensation for OSA because I didn't get diagnosed with it until after I separated from the military. I separated in 2008 and when I finally had my first physical from the VA in 2009 the physician recommended that I have a sleep study completed. I have been using a CPAP since 2009. I have no idea why I did not submit my claim after being diagnosed. I suppose it was because I was…

Raynauds
I recently filed for a higher level decision because the VA denied my Raynauds syndrome firsy for not having an official diagnosis. After that denial I opened my higher level review. I spoke to the rater on phone as I requested. I explained to the rater that while Raynauds may not be secondary to what my VSO filed for the cause was unknown as the DBQ from C&P stated. So the examiner said it was less likely caused by my military service. I told the rater it was a presumptive condition and even though I filed for it years after my discharge I had military evidence showing what appeared to be Raynauds. He agreed with my statement. I also explained to him that the VA actu…

USO access at Air Ports
Hi, I am going to be relocating to the east coast, and I called the USO at DFW airport to ask them if I could utilize the USO at the airport. The volunteer was not completely aware or knowledgeable, but she kept asking if I had a military DOD issued ID card that did not look like a veterans ID card issued by the VA. I am 100% Total and Permanent and have a military ID card with indefinite expiration date. Has anyone else used the USO at airports and not had any issues? I hate the crowds

Hearing Impairment from JP-8
So way back when (2014) I claimed hearing loss and in my C&P notes it was stated that even though I had hearing loss prior to joining the military, it was aggravated by my service. My hearing discrimination in my right ear was at 96% (under 94% is VA rated). I recently found an article: https://www.research.va.gov/currents/spring2014/spring2014-11.cfm?fbclid=IwAR0KyvGOAYbCHKxA1kWbU7FBOc__5UUnXRKCsW058htYSi6C42UJX9BFDy8 I have a difficult time hearing people speak when they are not facing me and talking to my face. I am wanting to file a new claim for hearing loss and using this as evidence, have any of yall had a experience with it? I was a Egress Tech work…
