ptsd Math doesn't add up
I just received my award packet today, and it showed that I received 70% for ptsd, and 10% for tinnitus. However, the total award only indicates the 70%. What gives? Is this a clerical error? Both state percentage assigned...not denied. Thoughts?

cervical strain Submitting new evidence...No LOD
Good day to all, Here are some specifics to gain a better understanding...... FDC took effect and was awarded 70% around late March. I was prior AD Air force and seperated 08. I joined the AF reserve in 2011. The issues on my FDC that I was denied for 1) cervical and upper back pain 2) bilateral numbness pain and tingling left and right arm. These issues originated while reporting for annual tour at my reserve unit while on Active Duty title 10 orders 2011. I had a pretty bad motor vehicle accident. Hit the median and blew a tire..went airborne like the Dukes of Hazard and lost control, spun out and jumped the median sideways landing upside down on the opposite traffic l…

ptsd ? about SMC-S and Retro payment
First, let me say thank you for a great and knowledge on this site is overwhelming. I found this site recently and have been bouncing around here. That's when I found SMC-S. I'm rated 100% TDIU for PTSD effective Dec 2003 as stated in my decision letter. I was also rated 60% for my back at the same time but SMC was never considered. This leads me to ask 2 questions from the members here: 1. How did you apply for your retro SMC? 2. Has anyone received a retro payment based on a decision prior to 2008? Thanks for the help & info.

DDD SC
I have been SC for my back for a while when i first got out I was 10%, I went for a rating increase and was granted an increase of an additional 10% for 20% total for my back in 2012. Now I have constantly gone back to the VA to get pain meds and therapy for my back and was recently given an MRI which the Chiropractor suggested I do. In it shows that I have 3 herniated discs from L3, Annual Tear on L4, and L5 that is herniated that moves from side to side. I've asked for things to help get my back fixed, and I always get denied for any type of surgery, I was given a tens unit which does nothing, a traction unit that gives me some relief but is so big that i can bring it e…

Questions Regarding CRDP Entitlement
The VA recently increased my VA final degree of disability from 50 percent to 80 percent. Yesterday, I received a letter from the VA regarding my CRDP retro pay and today the CRDP retro pay was deposited in my bank account. Following is the exact verbage of the letter: The letter also came with a VA Form 4107 (Your Rights to Appeal Our Decision). Department of Veterans Affairs January 06, 2016 6800 Almeda Rd Houston TX 77040 Richard L. Missing va file
I went to the VA once I got out of the services. I was following the orders of my exit exam doctor. I didn’t want to wait on a medical discharge from the services on the island. Once there the VA doctor did a physical exam and then requested an x-ray. Prescribed pills for me and told me they would schedule me another follow up appointment. Several years passed and I never got that follow up appointment. Now I find out that they lost the doctor records of that visit. The x-ray somehow has showed up now. It shows that I had Levoscoliosis in thoracic spine. I know I should have waited for the medical discharge now… I also have more damage to my spine now. 3 herniated disk, m…

Help with compensation estimates & back pay
Greetings - first post on this site. I'm rated at 90% service-connected disability, have 2 children enrolled full time as college students & my wife. I'm getting $1888/month for disability and filed a claim as eBenefits shows that only my daughter & wife were considered for "compensation", my son was not. I submitted paperwork to show that he still lives at home and is a full time college student but the claim came back that they were already paying for him as a dependent and my entitlement is $1888. So confusing. My math shows that 90% pays $1,995.48 for Veteran with Spouse and Child plus I figured I should also get another $182 for my second child tha…

Hiigher Rating Entitlement
Question for the forum, I am rated at 10% for Gerd (No hernias), since my initial rating in 2011. I was on one med at the time for Gerd (Prilosec) and my notes state because I have no hernias a higher rating is not granted. Fast forward, I have been on 3 different meds a day for almost a year (zantac once daily, Prilosec twice daily, and sulficate 4 times daily). I now have a heital hernia and my stomach is covered in polyps (to many to remove). I have neck and shoulder pain and I constantly vomit, in which my doctor state it's from my acid reflux. I am scheduled for a c and p soon, because I am 100%sc for two conditions that VA stated could improve. I read that VA g…
