'able To Maintain Gainful Meaningful Employment....'
What is VA's definition of this, with RE: to MH rating, such as 'occasional' vs 'severe' ? I lost 1 job in 2011-was diagnosed by VA MH as severe depression/MDD Recurrant-2 months later with sale of company I was not kept. Had had problems with customers and coworkers relations, which is what prompted me to seek a MH referral. Unemployed for 4 months after, then next job, still adjusting to MH and meds, same field (IT Support/engineering) lost 10 months later for similar reasons. Currently just passed 1 rocky year here, 38 absenses, write ups, over the first year, currently on a 6 month performance improvement path that has 2 outcomes only. I can't be moved to a di…

"As Likely as Not" statement on C&P notes
Completed my C&P for Major Depression on Friday, 10/2/15, and on the C&P notes from MyHealtheVet, the Doc stated that the condition is "As Likely as Not" a result of Military Service. Now, I've seen on other forums where is said that this is a 50/50 statement, and the benefit of doubt goes to Veteran. My last claim notes said same, and was awarded 30%. Can anyone chime in on this and let me know your thoughts or experiences?

"for Those Who Know"
"My sister insit" I had a C&P exam recently and called the Va to check status of my claim. After a couple of general identification questions, he preceeded to tell me that they were waiting for my health record to come from "National personell records center" before the claim process can continue. This was very intresting to hear due to the fact the military sends all health records "recently" to the department of vetreans affairs. A feeble attempt to exploit a mentally ill person, I allowed him to continue he's lies. He then noticed that i was not being represented, I corrected him by saying iam being represented by the D.A.V. he heckled beneath his breath and proc…

"How and When to File" Questions
Morning All, My Questions in this post are somewhat tied to my post of Feb 8th. I really appreciate all the input I received on that post. I've been really struggling on how I should proceed with two of my secondary claims (OSA and Hypertension) that were denied by the VA. Especially the OSA claim. And here's why... For my C&P exams for my Hypertension, Back Issues, Bilateral Radiculopathy, Abdominal Hernia, and OSA, the VA sent me to a Physicians Assistant (PA). The PA checked all of these claims in one appointment and hardly asked me anything about my OSA and Hypertension. My claim for Radiculopathy ended up being granted and I received an increased rating for …

"I've been service connected since 1975 and haven't recieved a dime"
Sorry for the 'wall of text' ... First off I would like to thank everyone for their service. Whether you served in one of the honorable branches or are just a contributor to this wonderful forum I have been lurking on, commitment to Veterans is valued. I am a female, Vietnam era, USMC vet. There are not many of us, as during those days they trained the women as the men, resulting in a high attrition rate. I believe it was due to this intense training that I am, in my old age, starting to feel the burn. I was never as proud as the day that my Eagle, Globe and Anchor were pinned on me. It was a lot of work to become a Marine and, sadly, it took its toll. During Boo…

"QTC" ACE follow up exam?
Received a letter from a company called QTC, which I found to be strange since I am rated at 100%. Called the company and asked them questions and they stated that they are a 3rd party agency hired by the VA. The case officer informed me that I have a claim under the VA but the fact is that I don't have any claims active once I was rated at 100% I stopped. So I was under the impression that this company was either a scam/fraud or something. Normally the VA contacts you directly, but? Called the VA to confirm this "QTC" company, and the VA informed me that my TBI injury is not a permanent rating so therefore follow up exams can be issued to see if symptoms have im…
