Preparation for Decision without C&P exam?
Question here, I had a claim in for bilateral bursitis(knees) and subluxation in left knee. This claim was initially denied because they said that I did not have a diagnosis for bursitis in my medical records. I have since then informed my doc of the apparent oversight as she has indeed been treating me for bursitis, however she stated "knee pain" in my record. Now, I have resubmitted my claim, and I also provided them my doc medical notes from my records which states the bursitis diagnosis, as well as medical record notes from an Orthopaedic doc siting the same as well as siting subluxation, and I also submitted the medical notes from my Physical Therapist. I also includ…

ptsd ptsd/major depression and adjustment order
I had my exam yesterday and I am so confused as to how it went, every time I would get almost a sentence out she said that was good that she did not want to upset me- hell I had taken anxiety pill before I went in. So do you think it might me good that she did not have me go into a lot of detail?

ptsd St. Petersburg VARO processing time
Anyone ever deal with the St. Pete VARO.... I just had all c&p exams and they are complete on myhealthevet. Any guess as to when I will get rated? also, after they rate you, how long before retro pay? Does monthly benefit come before retro or vice versa. Everyone has been amazing on this site. Thanks to all for your advice. So far I have been told 100% for PTSD, 10% for right ankle and 10% for tinnitus.... the c&P examiner also said that my bladder condition was secondary to PTSD/MST. Do they rate secondary conditions?

ptsd C&P Mental Health Exam
I filed for PTSD. Was kicked to sleep on base and diagnosed with a skull fracture. VA rules no evidence of PTSD. Instead VA determines that I have general anxiety and major depressive disorder, and service connected at 50% rating. It's all documented in my SMRs. I will never understand how any of their decisions at the ratings office make sense. Think I might as well file a NOD. While I'm at it, going to sign the papers the attorney sent me as well. There comes a point where the stupidity threshold starts to place too much stress on me and I need to step back.

DDD Back injury claim
Hi all, hope everyone is doing well... I have another question I need help with please , I'm in the appeals process for one of the issues concerning my back and degenerated disk disease. I am confident that the denial will be overturned or remanded because of the obvious over looking of my documentation and rewording of my edvidence to fit the denial ( you wouldn't believe how they did it ) , however, my question is can I file for an increase if my condition got worst through another means? I was hit by a semi truck and now I have permanent spine damage consisting on 2 annular tears and 3 herniated disk impeding in the nerve sac at three different spots. I can't bend much…

Failure Of C&P Examiner
In the middle of a C&P exam for scars, the examiner didn't take any measurements. He sent a woman in after he left, to take photos of my scars. I asked this person," Why didn't the examiner measure my scars?", as this was necessary to get a fair decision/rating. She left and in a short time the examiner returned. I asked him the same question. He measured one scar on the back of my neck and none of the others. I even specifically pointed out the ones I wanted him to measure. He said that the rating officer will see the scars from my photos and that is mostly how they make their decision. That isn't the rules…

Other Specified Trauma Related Disorder ICD Code 43.8
I am a 65 yr old Navy Veteran 20% service connected for (non combat) injuries I received while stationed with the 115th Coastal Task Force in Vietnam 1971. I know what happened to me but have no memory of the event. I was unconscious after the accident and woke up choking on my own blood in a helicopter from the 24th evac unit out of Long Bihn. Concussion, broken jaw and fractured ribs. I was sent CONUS a few days later. I was in Bethesda for several months after returning from overseas and spent the balance of my enlistment working transportation and security for CNO Washington DC. I began having anxiety and depressive mood in late 1971 and that continued throughout my e…

exam notes and records don't match
Hey guys, I'm knew to this forum so sorry if this is in the wrong section. --I had a comp exam on Saturday, looking to get an increase on my mental health disability from 50 to 70%. It lasted all of 10 minutes and he asked about 5 questions. Today, I looked on ebenefits and saw his notes. Needless to say, I was shocked that after the exam was finished, he told me he would review my medical records, because he apparently didn't. I guess the two major concerns I have are: He checked reduced liability for work, when I've had multiple jobs since being out and the longest is 6 months (including leave due to panic attacks) and I am currently attending intensive o…

hearing loss ALL C&P EXAMS YESTERDAY:)
HELLO ALL AND THANKS FOR READING THIS. I HAD ALL 3 EXAMS YESTERDAY AND I FEEL THAT THEY WENT GREAT. THE DOC PUT IN FOR BOTH ANKLES AND I ALSO WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE NO HEARING LOSS, BUT HE WOULD PUT IN FOR TINNITUS. NOW FOR THE BIG ONE! MY C&P FOR MST/PTSD THE DOC DID NOT REALLY GO INTO MY CHILDHOOD AT ALL, HE ASKED ME ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH ALCOHOL WHICH I TOLD HIM I WENT TO REHAB FOR. HE ASKED MY HOW MANY TIMES I TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE (4)...HE ALSO ASKED ME ABOUT THE BREAKUP OF MY MARRIAGE AFTER THE ASSAULT, HE ASKED ABOUT MY ANGER PROBLEMS AND ALL SYMPTOMS. I TOLD HIM HYPERVIGILANCE, SCANNING, DISTURBED SLEEP, ANXIETY, PANIC ATTACKS, ECT. HE ALSO AS…

ptsd C&P Result
I picked up my C&P result from the Regional Office. I got good expectations from the criteria from Criteria A to Criteria F concerning a rating of 70% or more. But the remarks was basically telling me there is no change in diagnosis. "At this time the claimant's condition is active". My own private PHd weight more on my DBQ than the VA rater. Who makes the decision in this case? This was all about a PTSD increase. Remarks gladly appreciated...Thanks fellow troopers
