25 Year Long Service Connected Disability Denied After C/p Exam.
This epic battle began 25 years ago when I was Discharged from USMC with a Medical Discharge for Bilateral Patello Femoral Syndrome in both knees. I filed when I got out in 1990, or so I thought I filed, according to the VA. I am not getting any help from VA on it at all. But I will move on and let that be my battle to prove. All of this supposedly began in 1990, but it was not until 1999 when the VA said I filed a Claim. So I will just go from there, I supposedly submitted a Claim then. But in 1999 I was Denied my Claim for Disability and supposedly they sent me a letter telling me I was Denied. This was after signing the private hospital and doctor release forms. Of wh…

Confused With Latest C&p Exam
Hi all, I'm new to this website as a member; but I've been here many times to read up on stuff in regards to my claim. I have a question that I'm hoping some of the more experienced members here can help me with, because I'm concerned that my last exam, which was yesterday (yes, a Saturday) was not done correctly, or by a competent doctor. A little background first.... I have filed my first claim (since separating from the Army in 1984) in May of 2012. There has yet to be any decision on my case. I have been to 5 previous C&P, none of which have been on a Saturday. This was at the local QTC offices here in Atlanta. This exam was for my claim for a …

PLEASE ADVISE AS TO HOW RESTRICTED CLAIMS FILES ARE
My C&P report was so F'd up that the doc has disciplinary exposure with the State medical Board and even a civil action. I am offering her a chance to avoid any complaints. I want to honestly tell her how hard it is for anyone not working on my claim to access the claim file. Please advise. I would like to be able to tell her that there is a snowball's chance in hell that anyone (particularly her supervisors) on the West Coast will find out she has owned up to and corrected her errors. Is this true? Citations to controlling regs would be great. Thank you.

Copies of C&P Exam Results Must Now Be Requested from Your RO?
This is interesting and unfortunate, if true. My husband had another C&P exam yesterday. It was at a VA office in town dedicated to these exams, but not at the VAMC. While it was going on and I was waiting in the lobby, I asked the receptionist for the form to complete to get a copy of it, as I've always done. She replied, and the examiner later concurred when I asked him the same thing, that the VA nationwide has implemented a new policy. Copies of exam results must now be requested directly from the RO, and will not be available until after a claim is decided. VAMC's will no longer provide copies to veterans. You can guess what's going to happen (or more likel…

constipation claim, ibs ?
I started having trouble with constipation pretty bad while I was in the army. Upon my ets at the exam I told the doctor that I had a lot of trouble going. I had also been seen twice for constipation while in the service I received a letter from the va a few months after getting out stating that consipation is a symptom not a diagnosis and that my claim was denied and if I could provide new and material evidence the claim could be revisited. That was in 2004. I reopened my claim september 2015 and went to a c and p in San Francisco. The doctor was a gasteroentrologists and he was pretty helpful. He stated that I have ibs constipation predominate. this is his exact m…

Primary Physician for Sleep Apnea C&P
Hello All, I recently submitted a claim for Sleep Apnea secondary to depressive disorder on Friday (1/25). Along with submitting the claim I submitted and IMO from a non-VA doctor. Today Tuesday 1/29 got a call to schedule my C&P. (World Record to me) Was wondering if anyone else thought this was weird and they also said that my C&P exam was going to be conducted with a Primary Physician not a Sleep Specialist. I also just thought about it. I didn't submit a DBQ with my initial claim. Could this be the reason? Just seemed off I'm not going to a specialist.

C&P Exam at the VA
I have been scheduled for a C&P exam with the VA. I have never had a C&P with the VA itself. My question is what should I expect? I am concerned that they will be more arbitrary than seeing QTC or other contractor. What should I expect? It is a re-exam for my back.

Has C&P ever resulted in s/c contentions not filed for?
I am curious if this has happened to anyone? Has anyone ever gone for a C&P exam for a specific claim and been awarded additional s/c for other contentions not filed for? The reason I ask this, is b/c my exam yesterday for increase to my L ankle, the doctor made a lot of notes to include measurements of my scars (not requested) as well as other notes regarding my foot and toe and my other foot (which is in appeal status). Thoughts?
