C&P Exam for increase for SC Narcolepsy via web cam
So i submitted FDC last week and received an C&P exam for the 10th of march, does anyone know what the doctor might ask me? I sent in 2 buddy letters 1 spouse letter, 2 different letters from my two neurologist, 3 different sleep Polysomnograms and 2 Multiple Sleep Latency test and all the different types of medication I've taken. I'm just trying to figure what all the Dr. can ask me that isn't in all my 300 pages of medical record for Narcolepsy. If anyone has been through this and if so would you care to share some of the things that might be asked. Thank you in advance for the help.

"How and When to File" Questions
Morning All, My Questions in this post are somewhat tied to my post of Feb 8th. I really appreciate all the input I received on that post. I've been really struggling on how I should proceed with two of my secondary claims (OSA and Hypertension) that were denied by the VA. Especially the OSA claim. And here's why... For my C&P exams for my Hypertension, Back Issues, Bilateral Radiculopathy, Abdominal Hernia, and OSA, the VA sent me to a Physicians Assistant (PA). The PA checked all of these claims in one appointment and hardly asked me anything about my OSA and Hypertension. My claim for Radiculopathy ended up being granted and I received an increased rating for …

Recent C&P exam for Left Leg radiculopathy
Hi fellow vets! Yesterday I had a C&P exam for a left leg radiculopathy (secondary to Lumbar Strain which I'm currently rated for at 60%). The doctor was really friendly. We went to do the ROM test and after my first test of bending forward he looked at me and said, "Well obviously you are in too much pain to do any further ROM tests." He didn't measure anything related to my radiculopathy. Should I be worried? Or is this a good thing? I'm worried that if the rater doesn't see any ROM measurements it may be flagged. But he made it sound like it was a good thing for me. He was definitely on my side, which is a first for me. Has anybody ever experienced th…

Is it Odd for a C&P Examiner to say he can't do an eval on my back because I am having a flair-up?
I had a C&P exam today and the doctor started to do measurments on bending angles but since I was unable to move much as all becuase of a flair-up, he felt he could not do the exam. Am I missing something? This back flair-up also prevented him from being able to fully review my knee claim. This is the second time I am seeing this doctor and the last time there were MANY discrepancies from what was observed, discussed, and what was documented on the DBQ. I honestly felt he mixed me up with someone else. I expected to see him for 2 issues but we went over 4. I wonder if he will do a DBQ on all conditions or not and if not, will I be rescuheduled? I …

"REFUSED EXAM" bahahahahaha NOT!
im looking to those with experience with C&P exams and the raters....someone has royally messed up my claim and now i am starting from scratch for pain/loss of use in my left leg and foot. heres the story: way back when- i put in a claim for bilateral knee/leg and feet. the VA couldnt find all my medical records...frustrating as it was they did eventually award my right leg based on some records they found. i found medical records to support the left leg and foot injuries(fractures that have since healed and now ache with arthritis like symptoms- tho i haven't been diagnosed with any arthritis yet) i reopened the claim going on 3 years ago with this new evi…

Exams for Claims - Use Third-Party Medical Firm - VA Rules
I'm working on filing a new claim to raise my current ratings on a few of my disabilities. With that, where can I file the VA rules that states the use of third-party medical firms/Doctors that can or must be used? I'm looking at going through Ree Medical Inc to evaluate and seek amendment of my current disability rating from 90% to 100%. From what I understand, though not read it in any VA official documentation, is that the Veteran does not need to use a VA contracted medical doctor....but would need to use a board certified Doctor. I want to see the VA rule(s) on this in black and white for myself. So, if any of you can help point me to whatever document t…

c&p for depression/insomnia
My apologies as I'm sure this question has probably been asked before in some way or fashion. Over the years, I have been diagnosed by my VA mental health providers as having "recurrent major depression", "depressive disorder", "major depression, single episode", "insomnia", and "chronic insomnia", depending on, I suppose, the writer. of each particular note. The question I have is this: all of these diagnoses have been from VA mental health providers, so I would assume that depression and insomnia have been established. IF I apply for benefits, will they still schedule a C&P exam to determine if I have depression/insomnia? Thanks!

QTC C&P Exam By Private Dr.
Hi Everyone I recently had a C&P exam scheduled by QTC for migraines as secondary to PTSD. I got my packet in the mail and went to the appointment, but upon arriving I noticed that the building sign said IA Health Link. So I go in and check in to my appointment, the Nurse Practitioner brings me to the back and starts asking me the questions off the DQB. The entire process takes about 5 minutes and then I'm done, when she's finished she says thank you for your service and I'll be forwarding my results over to QTC and QTC will forward the finding over to the VA. This is the question that I wanted to know, has anyone every had an appointment that was scheduled with…

Refile a claim
Hi All, I'm back again... still working on claims that started last July, and I apologize if this is a little scrambled. In a nutshell, I'm currently rated 90%, 70 PTSD/TBI/alcohol, 20 bladder, 60 kidneys, 10 tinnitus, 0 headaches, 0 hearing loss. "0" for headaches was because first evaluator would not listen to my comments about them. I also have degenerative disc disease which is related to a training accident but has been denied because when I went to civilian dr. I made a statement I hurt it doing construction. My current PT said (unsolicited) that the injury would not have been from lifting, but from trauma years earlier aka the training accident. Also been diag…

I would never tell a veteran not to go to a exam
Ok let me start here u should go to any exam the va orders. Now are there times when the va is just ordering exam for no reason. Yes. I am not just stating this the va inspector general has done reports on this. Now let get to the my belief and the law I feel backs it up. I am only base this on smc benfits and if you have a Cavc remand I will use my case. I apply for smc benfits and the va order 5 different exam loss of use and increase exam and a@a exams Then they defer it two times. I withdraw the increase rating at the hearing with the dro. On appeal I was send to 3 more exams and even a specialized loss of use exam. …
