C & P Took 20 Minutes
The following is an email that I sent to the Secretary of VA, Bob McDonld. I was scheduled for a Comp & Pen examination at the Madison VA hospital, in Madison Wisconsin. When I checked in I was told by the clerk that I would have a three hour examination. However, that was not the case. Dr._______ spent approximately twenty minutes with me and told me that I did not have a service connected disability. She didn't take and ROM measurement for anything. She treated me with such disdain, as though I was just a piece of lint. I need to digress for a minute. I'm medically retired from the Army with a forty percent disability rating. My disability is considered service…

hearing loss C&P MENT test implies malingering
HI All, & Happy Thanks Giving and Merry Christmas! Retired 11 Bravo paratrooper in need of advice. I recently had a C&P exam review of my TBI , Migraines & PTSD last Tuesday 11-22-2016. I was medically retired by the Army in 2009 The Army rated me at the physical evaluation board at 70% for PTSD and other injuries were rated at 20% but my question here is the C&P I was just given. They had me do a 338 questionnaire by sitting at a computer then I had to drive to a different location that was not stated on their letter of the appointment. When I arrived the Dr. proceeded to ask me questions pertaining to my PTSD symptoms since my last C&P in …

X-Ray ordered weeks after exam!
Happy Thanksgiving to all! I had a C&P exam 3 weeks ago for my back claim and the VA just set me up to have a X-Ray for my back. My question is why would the VA order a x-ray weeks after I already had the exam with the doctor. The doctor already told me the my back condition is related to my service. Thanks for any reply. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving fellow vets, and spouses of vets!

More Twists and Turns from the St. Petersburg VARO
I had a C&P exam performed for my ankles by QTC in January 2016. After the exam was completed, the examiner said he was service connecting me, but that I needed to go see a doctor and get a specific diagnosis. Following the C&P ankle exam, I started treatment with a podiatrist. My podiatrist examined me and diagnosed my medical conditions. Next, I submitted this medical evidence to the VA. The VARO will NOT allow me to see the results of my January 2016 C&P ankle exam. All I see is the date of the exam, the doctor who performed it, and big, bold, letters " CONFIDENTIAL", on My HealtheVet. …

diabetes C & P Exam and Doctors statements
I had a C&P for rheumatoid arthritis the other day. During the exam the Dr. asked me how my diabetes is going. Told him I do NOT have diabetes, he said yes since 1994, then he showed me the record that said it. I got home and looked and sure enough I have the same record just never noticed. Here is my question, will he add that to my disabilities? Or do I have to open the claim myself? Last year I was diagnosed with Diabetes, but I thought it was medicine induced. I got off the medicine and my blood sugar returned to somewhat normal. Thoughts? I do have a follow up with my civilian Doctor and he is doing diabetes follow up every 6 months. Than…
