PTSD (Personal Trauma) Claim changed to GAD
I put in a claim twice for PTSD Personal Trauma and both times they changed it to GAD increase. So my C&P exams are schedule for GAD increase and not PTSD. I just had an exam today and the examiner stated it was for GAD and not PTSD which I was so confused. I called the VA and told them, I was scheduled for something I did not put a claim in for. Now they are researching as to why it was changed. Has this happened to anyone else? I was diagnosed with PTSD by my Therapist/Phychiatrist for over a few years now and I am having such a difficult time with compensation. Any suggestions on what to do next?

My now third PTSD C & P Exam in 5 Mo.
I think the VA is shopping for a Doctor that will write the C & P Exam in there favor. They sent me for a C & P Exam for PTSD to determine if I was insane at the time of my discharge on June 24, 2021 by a PHD M. His C & P Exam was the one who opened the door for full benefits. (See Link Below) They wanted to send me for another & P Exam for PTSD to update his opinion and determine if I was Unemployable. I requested the same PHD M. He said I had PTSD and was Unemployable. So I get a phone call Monday waiting to do another C & P Exam to determine if I have PTSD. So has anyone heard of them doing this????? I am kind of putting off this one to see if th…

Completed CP Exams with LHI, then requested by VA to redo the same CP Exams with VES
My claims are going on 1 yr and 6 months since the time I filed. Been taking so long due to the months it took to schedule these exams. I had completed all my CP Exams with LHI contractor, then VA requested I redo all those same exams with VES contractor. 1 exam due to DBQ questionnaire changes 1 exam due to it being conducted over a year ago Another exam which was done 4 months ago, also had to be redone. Anyone else deal with this lately? First time I ever claimed it took less than a year, completed CP Exams once then received a decision.

My now third PTSD C & P Exam in 5 Mo.
I have two big issues. 1. I think the VA is shopping for a Doctor that will write the C & P Exam in there favor. Unattended HSAT for Existing Diagnosis?
Background: Treated for DX of Sleep Apnea not otherwise specified (both obstructive and central) events for eight months prior to medical retirement. Also diagnosed with Narcolepsy without cataplexy, periodic limb movement, and hypermedia. Compliance reports all 90% + (100% last 90 days). I've had three sleep studies done. First diagnosed sleep apnea. Second was an MSLT. Third was a titration study were they watched me overnight and played with the pressure to get the best benefit. THREE lab studies. I submitted a claim for Sleep Apnea a few weeks ago now that the IDES process finished. Again, DX was made while I was active duty so service connection isn't…

Just had my LHI c & p for Rhinitis. It lasted 5 minutes and they didn't do the Gulf War DBQ requested by the VA.
I applied for compensation for Rhinitis. Service connection is presumed based on my time in Iraq in 2003, but it is also noted in my exit exam when I left service. The c & p was set up through LHI and I had the appointment today. Service Requested on the appointment confirmation says DBQ General Medical Gulf War, DBQ ENT Sinusitis, Rhinitis & Other ENT Conditions, DBQ Medical Opinion - MED: ENT Sinusitis, Rhinitis & Other ENT Conditions. The appointment was supposed to last 75 minutes. I went in at noon and was out at 12:05. I know for a 30% rating for Rhinitis, I would have to have nasal polyps. I don't know if I do. I asked the evaluator about it and she sai…

NY Veteran Claim going on for over 1yr and 6 months, cdp exams completed twice under both contractors
I live in NY and was wondering if any other NYer has been waiting over 1 yr to complete their claims? Been told it is due to high population of veterans. Claim started in April 2020, and had to conduct all my exams with LHI, then had to conduct all my exams again, but with VES. First time I have ever had to redo exams, first time was due to DBS questionnaire changes, the other time was to redo psych eval since it was done over a year ago, it has been nothing but a long wait for cp exams to be setup and to finally be at the point now, of HOPEFULLY having done everything and waiting for a decision. I have also been waiting for my deceased Vietnam veterans claim as…

Mistakes in initial-make changes in review?
Hi All, Once again, hoping this is posted correctly. Not sure, but can't quite seem to get the hang of this particular version of a forum, so my apologies if I'm doing this wrong. Real quick background, I'm rated for PTSD/major depression/alcohol/TBI at 70%, kidneys 60%, bladder 10%, headaches 0%, and seems like something else I'm forgetting at the moment. Those were all completed about 13 months ago. Pending is a back issue, hypersomnia, hypertension, and heart disease. Total after VA math is 91% (maybe 92?). I was involved in a training in which another soldier died. Due to the hypersomnia claim, the VA has asked that I be reviewed for the PTSD and TBI. I…

LHI? Anyone had any experiences previously?
I was contacted and sent to LHI for ratings increase on PTSD. I was of course on edge just because and then going to a unknown contractor bothered me a bit. But as I read on here they listed the doctors name and credentials which I used to investigate the doctor and liked what I found. I showed up to the appointment and expected the appointment to last at least half as long as they paperwork called for which was about an hour and a half. Appointment time was 0800 hrs and I was back out the door and in my car by 0825. Now to the nitty gritty. It was not bad at all. The doctor had reviewed all of my stressors prior to me coming in and we did not speak of them at all …
