ptsd Axis And Gaf Info And Explanation
I borrowed this from elsewhere, Patrick428 is the author of it in full. carlie "I will describe many common terms needed to be understood and given examples when warranted. R/O (Rule Out): Is a term found on either Axis I or II saying that there is not enough evidence to support the diagnosis at this time. Deferred: Is a way of a clinician saying, "I just met you and I am not sure if you have this or not." Usually found when the patient has first entered the mental health system or has been out of the mental health system for a long period of time. Secondary: Disorders that have manifested because of the first or primary disorder and also contribute to t…

Va disability & C&P question regarding veteran with suicide risk
So my husband is going though the VA disability process. He began treatment in April doing CPT which aggravated his symptoms immensely. In May, he was fired from the job he has held for 8 years. In June, he was put on disability leave from his National Guard unit after command became aware of his suicide risk and they have mandated that he continues the therapy which is only making the situation worse. He has been in for 15 years and most likely will be medically chaptered out which has worsened his depression significantly. Due to his suicidal thoughts I am trying to manage this financial crisis as best I can because I’m afraid he is being pushed over the edge. He just s…

ptsd Tomorrow is my PTSD C& P NERVOUS!
Hi everyone! I have not been in here for a while since I have started some classes. I bet I have some catching up to do! Last week I received a phone call from VES to schedule all of my exams ASAP, so tomorrow is my PTSD exam. I have been stressing about it for the past few days, but I know that cannot help. Next week I have to see the dentist on the 25th, a regular general medical doctor on the 27th, and on the 29th I have a bunch of X-rays and an echo-cardiogram scheduled. The VA had sent me a letter, dated for the 24th of December 2015, stating that they could not settle my case under the FDC program because they needed to know where all of my aches and pains wer…

ptsd Confused And Could Use Some Tips And Advice
Hi, I have recently started the claims process with the VA (I filed an informal claim on 04-Sept-2013 I see a private therapist and have a current diagnosis of PTSD, Bipolar II, poly substance abuse. My therapist agrees with me that my disorders are SC I've taken the initiative already to get copies of my DD214 as well as my private medical records. Currently I'm trying to track down my records from when I was placed on a 72 hr hold in a psych ward in 2000. My prescribing Psychologist, who puts in time at the practice I go to, is also a VA doc. I guess my question is this. If my therapist tells me that they have diagnosed me with the above disorder…

tdiu Will I Escape My Anti-Social World
Well this is a new thread. I have completed a 16 week course of psychotherapy in a group of about 10-15 people. I have realized I prefer being alone away from strangers. I hate going to hospitals and it's a bunch of STrANGE individuals around me. Right now I'm feeling extra jittery lightheaded shaky all of the above. My question is how will psychs are MEDS stop these crazy thoughts that I have. Will I stay jittery. I swear I take about close to tn pills a day my primary are physician says that my liver points are up. It could be because of the pills I don't know. That's one reason I been paranoid of going to the doctor. When I didn't go to the doctor all my lab results wa…
