hypertension TDIU and recent C&P
I am currently 70% combined with the VA. 50% PTSD, 30% Kidneys, 10% Hypertension. I am also SSDI that includes PTSD. I have a claim in appeal with the board in Washington DC original claim for TDIU goes all the way back to June of 2010. I was recently pulled in for a C&P just over a month ago. My question is when I log onto E Benefits and on the initial log in page under Rated disabilities that show all my rated and unrated disabilities and their rating is a new tab with NEW thing in it that were not there before. The tab is titled "Pending Disabilities" this has never been there before and it shows all the things I have in appeal at the board ATM. Does this mean…

diabetes IMO TDIU
I am currently 80% and have a Remand for TDIU from the BVA. The remand was due to the original RO not even considering my TDIU claim along with BVA granting service connection for diabetes . I am service connected for diabetes type 2 on insulin. I have developed Autonomic Neuropathy which causes syncope and near syncope several hospitalizations. The VA rated my Autonomic Neuropathy under Gastroperesis which I also developed due to AN. I also have orthostatic hypotension episodes regularly(at least 15 times a month. My Physician of 5 years wrote an IMO that I could "Not secure or maintain a substantially gainful occupation due to my Diabetic Neuropathy". In 2009 I was pla…

IU Since 2008 ..Have Question
I was rated IU in 2008 , 80% paid at 100%. I am not total and permanent. So I have been on IU for 8 years and rating letter stated no further exams to be scheduled. 70 percent of my rating is Mental Health with recurrent alcohol abuse and 10% for right leg injury. I am 45 years old I have a heart attack less than 2 years ago and this has added more to major depression. I understand heart attack more than likely not service connected. My question is would it be worth it for me to move forward and apply for total and permanent , since I am already rated at 80% paid at 100%. I could take chance of losing IU altogether, and start being paid at 80% which is a lot less.…

tdiu 93.7 - How long of a wait for TDIU?
My disability ratings are 70% MDD 60% Fibro 20% Spondylosis (lumbar) 10% Neuropathy Lt Leg 10% Neuropathy Rt Leg 10% Bilateral for Neurophy 10% Tinnitus Missed the round up to 100% by 1.3%. VA ignored several grants by BVA that will take me over the 95% but I want to get to 100% TDIU in the meantime. BVA Granted entitlement W/O remand in August and VA granted %'s in September. I have SS evidence that I last worked in 2008, will the VA retro back to 2008? My VARO is Wichita KS

ptsd Voc Rehab/ TDIU/ Criminal Background
This is a 2 part question: Am I a good candidate for Voc Rehab even with a criminal background? Am I a good candidate for TDIU because my criminal background (which I attribute to acquiring through my PTSD) is preventing me from finding gainful employment? I have applied for Voc Rehab and I am to meet with a counselor in a few weeks to go over my disability (70% PTSD) and to decide if I am to be a good fit for Voc Rehab. I want to request that they allow and pay for me to go back to the local college for my bachelors in computer science. However, one of the serious (in my opinion) barriers to employment that I face is my criminal background. A D.U.I …

tdiu TDIU at 20 Year Mark
If any of us do hit the 20 year mark being TDIU for that entire 20 years then I assume your TDIU rating becomes permanent and untouchable. Does this mean the VA just grants you a permanent rate of 100% or a permanent rate of TDIU? I sure won't be young enough to go out and start working as I will be 71 years old when I get 20 years at TDIU. However, according to what I understand I could go get a job if I wanted to and nothing the VA could do about it. I just wish the VA would convert all of us P&T TDIU vets to straight 100% so we would not have periodic scares regarding having TDIU taken away when we reach full retirement age.

tdiu Concurrent IU Pay and Retirement Pay
I was concurrently receiving 70% disability and my retirement pay. I was just awarded unemployability and according to the approval letter it states since my disability is more than my retirement pay I will now not be receiving my retirement pay anymore. I just see the disability pending for the EOM for Jan. This is a big difference in pay, even if I include the tax free benefits I will now receive. DFAS states I should receive both. Did anything change recently, that I don't know of? If this is the case can I decline the IU? Thanks for the input and actually still surprised that got approved.

tdiu TDIU - Permanent and Total
I retired from the Post Office 4 years ago due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It was a regular retirement. I left on my doctor's advice because I could not do the job and the stress was making my CFS worse. I filed for SSDI and that was granted for CFS, as well as other issues. Since that time, My rating of 60% disabled for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has been in effect for more than 20 years and I am 63 years old. I think I should file for Permanent & Total and or TDIU, but am hesitant on doing so. I tried to write up the paper work today, but it is so difficult to relive that time in my life. I should also add that my VA doctor has written up letters over the 20 …

ptsd Jimmer
Hi Guys, I am hoping you can give me answer to my IU claim. I recently was award 50% for PTSD, along with 60% for my eyes (particularly my left eye) and was bumped to 80%. I was sent the forms to apply for IU. I went to my eye doctor (who is board certified) and asked him to fill out another "nexus "letter. He is very familiar with the VA procedures, having worked at a navel hospital in the west. He was surprised and said "aren't you IU already". I told him no, that the V.A. had rated me 60% for my eyes he nearly fell on the floor. He said "this is wrong, you should be at least 80%, they really screwed up". So he write me two letters, to include in the package f…
