IU Help
Listed below is the letter I received from Voc Rehab. Will it help with a IU claim? I performed a comprehensive evaluation of the above referenced veteran’s current situation as it applies to the potential to complete a program of rehabilitation services and profit from these services by returning to suitable gainful employment. As a matter of course, every evaluation includes a thorough examination of the veteran’s records including available medical documentation. All other issues concerning reasonable feasibility for a program of services are explored. The above referenced veteran is determined to be currently infeasible to participate in a program of rehabilitation s…

Your Claim Is Currently Being Forwarded To Va Central Office In Order To Make A Determination On Iu Based On Extra Schedular
As the topic title suggests, that is the latest status of my claim. I applied in Dec. 2008 for various claims, was denied for all except 0% for a skin condition and I appealed the most important one, that of Ankylosing Spondylitis which they said was not service connected. It goes back to my service from 1977 to 1985, and was quite difficult to make the nexus. Around December of 2012 I won the appeal, and was awarded 30% for AS. And the skin condition claim was remanded back by VBA. Then in April 2013 I was awarded various percentages for the skin conditions, 50%, 10%, 10% and 2 at 0%. So I was then 70% combined. I then opened a new claim for IU, I have been …

ptsd Iu Claim Showing "second Signature" In Gathering Evidence Phase
Hello all, My first post here, so bear with me... My husband was medically retired after 13 years in March of 2014. His initial rating was 90% SC for PTSD, back issues, migraines, TMJ, knee issues and TBI. We had no idea what IU was until November of 2014, when they increased his PTSD to 70% and told us they had deferred the claim. We waited several months for the "future correspondence" they mentioned in the rating letter, but ended up filing the IU claim on ebenefits January 2015. We have had most of the typical delays, but are finally starting to see some movement in his claim during the last week. C&P was completed in March and up until June, when eben…

ptsd Iu Success
Hi guys posting this a little late as it was actually completed awhile ago. Anyway my situation was the following. 70% Army TDRL 90% VA on Soc Sec disability and pending CRSC. I spoke with a VA benefits person (DAV I think) who had an office set up at the local VA in Richmond. She said that filing for IU would not be that big of deal just send in my soc sec award letter. I was somewhat more skeptical than her on this as nothing I have applied for yet has been "no big deal." Well I was wrong she sent in my letter from soc sec (early 2015) and it came back 3 weeks later approved to be paid at the 100% level and T/P. I guess the lesson learned here for me would have be…

tdiu Dro Or Bva
I have a TDIU claim that is awaiting to go to BVA since September 2011. I have a docket number. I recently put in a DBQ and IME saying I can't work at all and my condition is Catastrophic 100% disabling Permanent and total with reasonable medical certainty. I also have a Not Feasible for employment letter by Voc Rehab and am on social security. I now found out my case went to a DRO for review. Is this standard procedure for DRO to pull a case waiting for BVA and to relook at the case? Is this in my favor. I put in for TDIU could they give me Schedular rating instead. I still don't want to lose my place in line at BVA if the DRO denies some or part of my new…

tdiu Awarded Tdui, But Does That Mean I'm T&p Also?
OK so I finally got an answer on the TDUI Today I got the actual letter from the VA about my TDIU award. My combined rating is still 70%, but they'll be paying me at 100% with no examinations scheduled in the future. Does this mean I get the benefits of 100% total and am permanent and can ask for property tax exemption and the such? I don't want to ask or presume anything that I shouldn't get or are entitled to. Is it because no examinations are scheduled that I am Permament and Total even though my service connected is 70%. Very confusing. Can someone explain all this to me...please...thanks This is what My VA letter says in Ebennies:VA Benefit Information You have …

ptsd Iu Specialty Services
Hello, I currently am receiving 100% for IU. Does this qualify me for dental services? I spoke with someone at the VA the other day, and she said that since it was a temporary rating, I was not eligable for dental care. I used to have no problem getting dental work done at my previous facility, but now, they are saying I don't qualify for it. Are they correct? My IU is based on PTSD.
