I've kinda been expecting it! I even explained about the issue of using the "combined ratings table" illegally and enclosed reference to a BVA decision. So I'll be filing my appeal to the CAVC next week. I'm rated 100% + 20% + 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% which should be added together, for the needed 60%. Guess we need the CAVC to clarify the rule. pr

Recently had my va psychiatrist fill out for 21-2680. For aid and attendance. He stated I required help shopping n preparing meals. Also help with med management. And help from girlfriend to help manage funds. Said I'm housebound 2 days a week. Main issues tbi ptsd, depression, migraines, scalp scarring from gunshot wound to head and alcoholism in remission for 16 months. I also take lorazpam daily. I hope they award it. I really need it. I'm already paid at 100% for tdiu which is permanent n total. I have an actual 90 % rating. Any insight if I'll stand a chance for aid n attendance for tbi.

I'm 100% T&P for kidney failure requiring dialysis, and 10% hypertension. I currently perform dialysis at home. This involves 4 dialysis treatments each day. I won't live very long if I don't receive these treatments. Although my wife wasn't officially trained on this method of dialysis, I wouldn't be able to do these treatments by myself. First of all, I'm unable to lift more than 10 pounds. Therefore, my wife has to lift heavy boxes of dialysis solution, and load bags of solution onto my machine. She records my blood pressure and weight prior to and after each treatment. She also helps me prepare and administer my injectable medications. Additionally, …

Due to some good advice and help on here, I decided to put in a claim last week for an Increase to my current PTSD 70% and SMC L. My wife is paid to be my Caregiver thru the VA Post 9/11 VA Caregiver Program. I had my Yearly Reassessment recently and the VA decided to continue my at the highest Tier, and listed me as not being able to Bath, or do activities of daily living without the help of my wife. My PTSD has been very bad for a few years, but I was scared to put in for an increase, as I did not want to rock the boat. As most of you know the VA has done alot to mess with me to include my recently being Reviewed, Even though I am 100% P&T. The VA actually reduced m…

I had applied for IU, which was denied because it was "moot" when I was awarded 100%. However, Bradley vs Peake clearly shows that it is NOT moot, because IU plus 100% clearly qualifes the Veteran for housebound. (SMC S, I think). Is this CUE?
