Here's a great story to start Spring. Janet and Donald are my oldest customers. Janet found me here in 2014 before I was accredited. She waited and bided her time waiting for me to get my license to kill. https://asknod.org/2020/03/09/bva-r2-you-cant-always-get-what-you-want/ Nothing, I mean nothing, could keep this woman from winning. She also snagged all the goodies on SHA and the auto grant without me. I do hope Cupcake will be that aggressive on my account if I get this ill.

I am 100% p&t and just had a knee replacement on previous 10% service connected right knee that has service connection of 23 years. I also have one disability rated 70% and another rated 60% as well as others at lower amounts. I looked on ebenefits and it says I have a claim in for review of hospitalization that I didn't initiate. Do I now qualify for SMC S or another SMC? Should I be worried about my 100% p&t? Do I need to be doing something? Thoughts? Advice? Game plans? Help?!!? It was total knee replacement.

Ok, so if you have tdiu, then Howell suggests you should also get SMC S..because you are not leaving the home "for work". However, at a minimum, read this: DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Veterans Benefits Administration Washington, D.C. 20420 July 22, 2009 Director (00/21) All VA Regional Offices and Centers In Reply Refer To: 211B Fast Letter 09-33 SUBJ: Special Monthly Compensation at the Statutory Housebound Rate This letter provides guidance for adjudicating claims involving entitlement to special monthly …

SPECIAL MONTHLY COMPENSATION EXPLAINED FRIDAY MAY 19, 2017LAST UPDATED: MAY 1ST, 2019 VA pays Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) to qualifying veterans with especially serious disabilities or combinations of disabilities. The idea is that certain disabilities and combinations of disabilities are more debilitating than regular disability compensation rates account for, so VA pays a higher rate of compensation if you have them. VA should automatically give you Special Monthly Compensation if you qualify for it. You do not have to apply. If, however, you believe you qualify for SMC but are not receiving it, you can call your VA regional office or contact an att…

Guys i’m terrified here. My wife has been my caregiver for a lot of years. I was too messed up until a few years ago to even be able to try to get benefits increase from 50%. After 4 years of fighting the va, I’m 100% p&t finally. Now I need to either get caregiver or smc l. After the last examiner lied outright, I’m afraid filing for AA will mean another c p. I can’t go through that the last year and half fighting the va ruined what was left of my health. Help appreciated, my heads swimming and I did try to read postings here but my brain not working like it should if u file aa does it mean a c p? If p&t how come people still get c p exams? I have op…

https://cck-law.com/news/special-monthly-compensation-explained/ http://www.militarydisabilitymadeeasy.com/specialmonthlycompensation.html Both of the above claim a veteran is entitled to R1 when I tried looking in the m21 and the CFR, and I couldn’t find anything to back this up. Has anyone ever heard of someone qualifying for R1 based on the above or know if there’s something I’m missing in the m21 and CFR? Thank you in advance. PS I called the law firm and an attorney is supposed to call me back.

in 2005 I was granted tdiu 100% sc p/t. cad 60% sc, and five others rated at 10% sc. when I was awarded this (1) should they have filed for smc etc. at this time? (2) if they should have filed, can I go back and request for them to back date it? Thanks!!!

Hi you all!!! I was referred to this forum by fellow vets (highly recommended) for questions that I have regarding VA disability pension. I have filed a Claim for SMC-Special Monthly Compensation. I am currently at the lower subcategory for 100% PTSD (temporary) and 60% combined. I will be submitting an IMO provided by a Doctor who specializes in VA IMOs. My questions are: * Is SMC the same as C&P? Will there be a C&P exam that I need to go to? What is expected throughout the SMC increase process request? I deeply appreciate any advice and/or what steps to expect.
