3. BAH/Stipend rate for Online classes counting as physical extended until DEC 2021

   Per VA directive- if any of you are on Voc Rehab education and getting a stipend/BAH- the coronavirus modification that made your online classes remain paid as physical classes that was supposed to expire in Dec2020 has been extended to DEC 20201. 6. Question about Gunsmithing incident through VOC Rehab

   This is a complicated question, thanks in advance for any advice. My father, who is also a disabled veteran, was approved to take gunsmithing course with AGI through VOC Rehab. My dad was carries a 45 SIG that he uses for his gunsmithing classes. Well, several days ago his 45 discharged and my father was hit in the leg, the bullet traveled down his leg and exited through the bottom of his right foot, severely damaging muscles and bones both in leg and foot. My question is, does anyone think its possible for him to qualify for temp 100% due to the fact that he has the weapon for gunsmithing course and had been working on it prior to discharge (to the weapon firing)? 7. I'm getting a lot of bad signs about my voc rehab counselor.

   I have been having a hard time simply getting email from my voc rehab counselor. After reminding the counselor multiple times I got the email for orientation and exploration phase. When I got the email the attached documents had errors. On the functional test document for my doctor the numbers were wrong(order went 1,2,3,5,4) and my gender was wrong. On another document a page was blank when it was supposed to have text on it. Then when I called the counselor for my first appointment the counselor says "Did we have an appointment today? Let me see if I have nothing else going on right now to see if we can talk." That was one of the most unprofessional response…

9. ptsd Just granted 100% P & T for PTSD and approved last summer for VR&E...Need Advice

   Hello All! So, I was initially 50% for PTSD and during my appeal I applied to VR&E as my therapist convinced me I should persue it and thought I would be a great candidate. I told her I wanted to become a therapist and she thought I would be great at it. She has worked with me for 2 years in both individual and group counseling and feels I have alot of wisdom and insight in trauma. Anyway, I saw VRE counselor last summer he said I definitely qualified as I had a severe work handicap and he said they would in no way pay for me to work in the psychology field due to my mental health history.     Fellow Veteran brothers and sisters. I want to make sure I tell all of you how important Voc Rehab is if you are struggling. If any of you are having trouble finishing the program, or are denied in the program, or are needing to take a break due to your Service Connected Disabilities interfering or getting worse, Please keep this in mind. I was at 70% when I started Voc Rehab Chapter 31. Upon graduation which i barely finished as my SC Depression was at an all time worse, just lost another job 3 months prior to graduating. 11. Office chair for back and sciatica both SC.

    I have a SC disability rated at 60% for lower back and Sciatica. I am in real need of different office chair. I have bought 2 chairs and 4 cushions but they aren't helping. What would I need to to to try and get a real ergonomic chair. like the 1,000's ones that I can't afford. I work from home so this would be for work. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. 12. How Many Times Can You Utilize VocRehab?

    According to Ebenefits, I have about 12 months left on my current VocRehab contract. This is the first time I’ve used Vocrehab. I completed my VocRehab education over two years ago. Still no gainful employment. My counselor elected Business program (certificate) because I used GI bill for useless business degree (I didn’t know it would be useless at the time)lol...and denied my request for nursing school with no explanation, even though I was a nursing assistant and had all nursing pre reqs done. 13. My Take on Voc Rehab Counselors

    According to VA laws, regulations, statues the goal the Voc Rehab is to provide training that fulfills veterans aptitudes and interest (be it going to Law school, Med. School, a Phd, etc) and which ideally would lead to suitable and gainful employment. Therefore the law states – and there is plenty of legal precedent to back it up – that it is up to the veteran (and not to the VA counselor) to decide what school to go and what coursework to pursue. The latitude of decision making that a VA counselor has is very much limited to situations whereby the veteran demonstrate an inability to pass in his coursework (veterans has failed all his/her classes), and not to whether or …
