  1. I went to the VA once I got out of the services. I was following the orders of my exit exam doctor. I didn’t want to wait on a medical discharge from the services on the island. Once there the VA doctor did a physical exam and then requested an x-ray. Prescribed pills for me and told me they would schedule me another follow up appointment. Several years passed and I never got that follow up appointment. Now I find out that they lost the doctor records of that visit. The x-ray somehow has showed up now. It shows that I had Levoscoliosis in thoracic spine. I know I should have waited for the medical discharge now… I also have more damage to my spine now. 3 herniated disk, muscle spasms, and arthritis. Can I still claim my back as a disability?

  3. Hi everyone.. I am going crazy with my VA claim. I am trying to see how can I get training records of navy landings with the marines from 1986-1988 off the coast of California. The ship I was on was LSD Alamo.... Secondly I am trying to get copies of papers from Okinawa japan. When the marines had an accident on the road with the trucks, or hummers.Would like to be able to get a copy of the ticket they used to get out of motor transport to go on the road.
  4. Here is what I applied for on my claim: Lower back pain: in my SMR Right leg : because of the nerve that gives me pain Both knees: OA in both Eye sight: because my vision went bad. Exit physical had pre-astigmatism High blood pressure: Hearing: Only got approved for 10% hearing. MOS:0811 artillary. What did I do wrong. here is my claim without the DDD or OA of my back.
  5. I had lower back strain in the military. I never had x-rays done on my back while in the military, but x-rays were done on my ankle when I sprained it. I have had x-rays done on my back since leaving the military, and then I had a MRI done on my back. The MRI should an annual bulge L4-L5 & herniated disk L5-S1. I have done no activity such as sports or heavy lifting since getting out of the military. Also I have DDD or OA of the lower back and also both knees. My nerve in my right leg goes crazy like some one is sticking me with pins or its on fire. Got a rating of nothing because they are saying its not related to my military injury.Need help if I should appeal this
  6. I was diagnosed with chronic lower back muscle spasms in the service. I had my first attack in Dec and I was under medical attention to Feb. I was given a job behind a desk with 24 hours on 24 hours off. No PT during these 6 months of work. Then I had another attack while doing basketball for PT. I was down for another 2 months. My SMR has chronic written in 5 or 6 different places by 4 different navy doctors. Yet VA says it’s acute. Even though I seeked help from the VA, and never got medical attention. No x-ray ever done on my back by the military. I had an MRI done before the VA did an x-ray. MRI showed L4 L5 annual bulge, L5 S1 Herniated disk, and arthritis in lower back. VA x-ray shows arthritis L4 L5. I gave up all kinds of activities because of my back. I also have OA in both knees, right leg has nerve damage, right foot falls asleep, anemia, Sleeps 0-2 hours a day and my eye sight went bad. Why did the VA use x-rays on my back? Wasn’t they supposed to help me find the issues .
