  1. GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THE VA REGIONAL OFFICE IN MUSKOGEE, APARENTLY SECRETARY MCDONALDS OFFICE CONTACTED THEM WITH AN INQUIRY THIS MORNING, THE GUY ON THE PHONE TOLD ME HE HAD TO CLEAR 100% OF MY CLAIMS "DEPENDENCY, ECT" HE SAID THAT SEC. MCDONALDS OFFICE WANTED A REPORT BACK BY THE END OF THE BUSINESS DAY WITH THE RESULTS. HE TOLD ME THAT ALL MY CLAIMS WOULD BE CLOSED AS OF TODAY, AND ALL MY RETRO PAY FOR ALL MY CLAIMS INCLUDING MY APPEALS RETROPAY WOULD BE IN MY BANK NO LATER THAN 2 WEEKS. THIS WAS GREAT NEWS, I GUESS THE SQUEEKY WHEEL GETS GREASED. THANKS ALL.
  2. Does anyone know what the timeframe usually looks like for Retroactive pay after a decision has been made? Getting anxious to start the new year off debt free.
  3. Thanks, that is awesome news. I have been reading all these horror stories that are talking numbers like 24 months after rating waiting for dfas review or something like that. It didn't make since to me but I hope it's soon :-) nothing has been with Muskogee yet but hopefully this will be. Thanks again
  4. Happy New Years Eve all, I have a question that maybe someone will be able to give me some hope in, as I posted above it looks like my TDIU P&T was approved via-dav in Muskogee RO. Does anyone have any idea how the retro pay works or a good timeline on how long I may be waiting for this. It should be nice since they dated it back to March 2012. Anyone wanting to give me positive hope. Thanks all in advance, have a safe and enjoyable New Year.
  5. Thank you very much, apparently there is a lot that comes with being P&T through the VA, something about sales tax exempt and car tag and tax and a ton of other things that I knew nothing about, to much for me to take in when the DAV guy what speaking with me. Wish I could find the site that he was quoting all this stuff off of.
  6. Got a call today from DAV in Muskogee RO, they told me that they had great news that would make my New Years. Unofficial letter came to them today stating 80% with IU P&T. So it looks like everything was granted back to March 2012. Maybe going to get a little back pay. Just wanted to let everyone know. Still waiting on Dependency claim to happen but very glad that the VA finally got something done. Happy New Year to me. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  7. I just sent Secretary McDonald an e-mail, I am sure he will only toss it out, thinking here is another complaining veteran but maybe just maybe he will take a concerned veterans message and actually read it.
  8. Thanks for the good information, my VSR is the DAV they are also located in the RO next door. I can't get much if any information out of them people, they have done one DRO Check they call it, where they go and check with the lady DRO officer, unfortunately, the lady told them I was in the top 4-6 claims on her desk this was back in August, so I'm not sure how long it takes to do 4-6 reviews but it seems like 4 months is a little excessive since she did openly admit that the VA screwed up rating it the first time. Thanks again for your insight.
  9. I have been a long time reader of the success stories on this site, I have never posted before. So here I go on my rant. I filed a DRO Appeal at the Muskogee Regional Office October 2013, I then had my DRO Hearing in May of 2014, at this hearing the DRO explained to me that it would be an informal non-recorded hearing simply because she seen the mistake that the VA Rating Officer made and that this would be a quick fix. "No later than end of July 2014." I had opened a dependency claim in January 2014 as well due to getting married. Now that I have an open dependency claim and a DRO appeal going on at the same time I'm pretty sure I screwed myself. That darn 1-800-no one knows a damn thing keeps reading me the same old paragraph about if we need anything we will contact you. My dependency claim went to Preparation for Notification on December 2, and now today December 18 it goes back to Pending Decision Approval, can someone explain what is so freak'en hard about approving a spouse that it had to get sent back a stage? Also can someone enlighten me on one more question. Could this be what is slowing down my DRO Appeal. The appeal is for PTSD increase, and IU. I'm already at 60% and the DRO officer explained to me that I should be at 90-100% for PTSD alone not to mention the other 8 items on my claim that all together gave me a 60% rating. Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
