  1. it seem timing is everything. If they pull your file to scan in when your number is up for bva your looking at getting a huge delay...they wouldn't move you back to the end of the line would they? That line is too long to go all the way back to the end of. For a file that is yet to be scanned there are to many variables affecting a claim. I am one of a lucky few and I think either my time working at the va or something else, got my c-file digitized faster then most because I saw it years ago. And both of the claims that I have completed, that I haven't appeared, have gone fast. 16m and 8m and neither were fdc.
  2. Chuck I agree with you on this here. When I attempted to hold down a job at the VA back in 2012, which lasted only 6 months, you could view the file but if it was being view by anyone with EDITING CAPABILITIES, which is a specific level of access, then you could not do so add well, if you needed to do something as little as save a document. Some people only had viewing capabilities. I am disappointed to great that the VA would so easily pass on my contentions, especially when I included so much evidence (mri's, etc.). If I'm already at 100%, just awarded back to January 2015, and this appeal goes back to 2010, will I get backpay if I were to win a percentage, a sc from these claimed disabilities?
  3. Here is something interesting. It's this allowable: Though the varo made a decision on my current claim they removed the following from the claim I started this year and added them to my appeal: DDD...appeal has lumber strain. Migraines Fatigues and nausea secondary to the migraines-as they are what contribute to the severity. Right knee Right shoulder I'd this something my poa, the vso would have authorised without me knowing?
  4. John999 that really sucks about your c-file. Mine is in ok......shape...per say. There are duplicated files and some that are incomplete that I have the completed copies of... Mine is all out of order though.
  5. gastone thats is exactly what was recommended by my vso, with differences being they are only waiting on medical records.
  6. I do have a full copy. I didnt think it was a bva hearing but sinve dro(?) Isn't ringing any bells (I'm new to researching the appeals on my own) it must be bva. Gastone, from what your telling me, my aside from but hearing anything) isn't too out of the norm. I am not sure about waco's claim accuracy. I do know they are pretty fast so to speak, all my claims are complete quick and I've only had to appeal the one. I got a call today from the varo at waco and he want to know if it was ok to waive one contention decision so he can comete my claim now...they awarded me 100% iu. I was very nervous about the call but surprised he was asking my permission to waive the contention. He told me that when the records I requested come in I can request reconsideration because they wasn't to grant it but can't without the records......I wasnt following because my brains messed up but I was happy nonetheless.
  7. So..ironic or not... A gentleman from the Waco office just called me, names Bret. Left me a vm stating he would call me back in an hour? :/ I have so much anxiety I could die! Btw, it is not reassuring to see the numbers on vets dying before adjudication. My father has Alzheimer's and it took him almost killing many people, including my mother before he got help, and before they completed his claim.
  8. Pete992 I've not thought about it that way. I'm currently in pda with 13 new contentions then my c-file would be " available" again. The claim I'm appealing had 4 and was opened in 2010. I'll just have to wait and see if I hear from them. I hope they didn't pull my c-file from my current claim to answer my iris request.... :/
  9. Tomahawk I am inclined to agree, I've had many occasions when I've gotten no response and some responses that weren't worth my time to read. Broncovet I have a VSO but he isn't very good for getting status updates.he was amazing for filling my claim. It was detailed, made me feel positive, etc. But he doesn't want to do any leg work now. He is of the, " ebenefits will update you now" variety. He moved on to the next Vet. I'm very tempted to just reopen the claims under new claims with my new material evidence. I feel like I could win now and not have to deal with so much anxiety. I'm going to have a heart attack and die from the VA.
  10. I've seen my c-file. I've actually had a claim completed that was submitted a month after I submitted that appeal. So I know my c-file is still there, and they are about to complete another claim, is currently PDA. My VSO told me that he requested a hearing. I never received any form of documentation after that. All I have is my certified mailer. I saw my claim on ebennies. I've just never gotten anything from the va since. Not even a "we're still working on your claim" letter. I was told via VSO that my claim is still at the local office. Which I think he is referring to Waco. I write Iris again. Maybe they will tell me I need to slow my role and have patience....
  11. Overwhelmed. Trying to keep perspective.

Anxiety driven. Trying to keep myself under control.

Tired. Can't break free from the clutches of insomnia.

    I see through a fog.

    I can't remember simple truths.

I'm so angry and so sad.

My tears are like dried up wells, I will never cry again.

    ...PTSD...

  12. Just to get to the nuts and bolts of it, I appealed a claim decision. The denial was June 2012, I appealed it through my vso just before the deadline, 2013 via certified mail. It's been over 2 years and the appeal status still states "at local office" Honestly I never thought anything of it until I started reading through Hadit. Now I'm reading some people who are asking about NODs after 16-18 months... should I be converted? I've written an iris letter asking for a status update but have not heard back. Any advice? Thanks for the expertise.
