  1. Would the VSO be able to pull the notes from the C&P exam? I just checked my blue button and nothing is on there.
  2. So big update. It says that today my claim was closed. So i checked my eben and it says im still 100% for ptsd. So I called the va 1800 number to check and make sure. I was told I am being sent a letter stating that my benefits should be reduced! The VA is saying I missed a c&p exam for ptsd that was scheduled the 18th of july. I was only scheduled for one c&p through vetrecs on may 14th and went to it. The guy I spoke to on the phone said I have to wait for the letter to come in the mail to dispute it. I am really freaking out now.does this mean my benefts will be changed on the 1st? I wish i would have seen VA docs for my c&p and never had to deal with the civilian agency. Should I be freaked out? I am trying to keep my cool.
  3. I already went to the appointment it was c&p reevaluation for my ptsd and alcohol disorder. I am just worried because the VA had it scheduled before five years.
  4. Hello all haven't posted on here in a while. A few weeks ago I was getting phone calls from a non va agency to schedule an exam. At first I was shocked. I have been 100% total for ptsd since march of 16 previously was 70% from 2007 until I was rated 100 in 2015. I also have 10% for tbi 10% for TBI and had my migraines increased from 0 to 30% sometime earlier this year. Thats an overview of everything I have. So should I be worried that the VA scheduled me a reeval before 5 years? I have been getting treatment on and off and been on medicine on and off the last for years and this kinda blindsided me.I already completed the appointment and I cannot find any notes on my blue button. Nothing has changed since I was awarded the 100% except the increase in migraines. Still have my wife as my caregiver and currently going through the reevaluation for ssdi as well. Stay safe Russ.
  5. Gonna head up to Travis afb today and get it done.
  6. I just pulled this from va form 21-8760: Honorably discharged veterans with 100 percent service-connected disability, and their dependents and unremarried surviving spouses, are entitled to unlimited exchange and commissary store privileges. Certification of total disability and DD Form 1172, Application for Uniformed Services Identification Card - DEERS Enrollment, will be provided by VA. You may contact the nearest VA regional office for assistance. It just says total not permanent. I also found a pdf that says the id will expire 60 days after my reevaluation exem. If anyone knows if this is correct or not please let me know.
  7. Well my claim was finished. 100% schedular for ptsd and 0% sc for migraines as a secondary to tbi. I have a reevaluation exam in 5 years. So does this mean I eligible for the DOD ID card? It was a long process and when I texted one of my brothers i was in fallujah with he told me congratulations and now it is time to try and get some normalcy back in my life.
  8. So checked Eben and it says ready for decision. Let's see what happens hopefully it doesnt stay at rfd for to long.
  9. Hey all still no decision made. Was told by a lady on the 1-800 number that the va can send it back two more times and could deny my claim for insufficient evidence?? I asked her what more evidence do they need when their C&P doc said I was P&T!! Gahh Oddly getting ssdi was easier than this....Stay safe Russ.
  10. Thank you for all of your replies. I uploaded my ssdi award letter to ebenefits tonight. I don't know what to do about the employer form.
  11. Here is a pdf of the C&P exam notes. Also I have been 70% since 2007 for ptsd. C&P.pdf
  12. So I spent some time at the national center at the menlo park va. I put in a claim for Para 29 IU and Ptsd increase. Well I had to go to a C&P exam Ill post the notes when my healthevet is back up but on the bottom it says IU is not warranted because my ptsd is permanetly and totally disabling. I was also awarded SSDI for ptsd and tbi. The so the va is requesting another 21-492 even though the original I submitted I stated the employer would not sign and they are asking for Social security records. Do I upload just the award letter or do I go to the SS office and get something more in depth? Thanks Russ.
  13. It is an initial claim. I was rated at 70% again this oct 15. When I was originally rated in 07 the VA offered me IU but I did not take it. Right now the claim says under review. On it I also have an increase for my tbi will this possibly slow down the process. I have letter from psychologists and psychiatrists stating I cannot go back to work.
  14. Whats up brothers I have a pending IU claim. I am currently 70% SC for PTSD 10% SC for Tinnitus and 0% SC for TBI. I am currently at the Mens Trauma Recovery Program at the Menlo Park VAMC. While here I was diagnosed with Gad Panic disorder and agraphobia. My question is how long do you think It will take for the VA to make a determination? i am supposed to gaduate from the program February 20th. Thanks Russ.
  15. A notice of disagreement for tbi? Or for the whole thing? Thanks Russ
  16. Here is an update. My claim was completed today. Ptsd stayed at 70%. Non service connected for gerd,ed,right knee, right shoulder injury. Tbi was rated at 0% SC stated most of tbi issues were related to PTSD. I am currenty in the mens trauma recovery program at menlo park. The staff stated that I will be here 90 days. Since I have been here I have had numerous anxiety and panic attacks. Now do I appeal these decisions or put in for a new claim? I will also be putting a claim in for IU. My vso submitted the paperwork for the temp 100% while I am here but the VA Attached it to my open claim? Have a safe halloween! RUss
  17. Contracted out. How do I receive a copy of them?
  18. Im not concerned about gong back to work. I have done enough high speed jobs. I went from the infantry to wildland firefighting to policing. Do I need to file an additional calim for TDIU on ebenefits?
  19. Headaches, memory loss, stuttering, slurred speech, also they determined that I have significant loss of my fine motor skills.
  20. Hello all name is Russ A little background about myself I served six years as an 11B in the ARMY I was in Ramadi and Fallujah in 04-05. I have been Service connected for PTSD at 70% and tinnitus at 10% since 10 August 2007. I have been working as a police officer for the last two years. I just recently had a C&P exam for TBI. A little background on my tbi. I was hit by a number of IED's in ramadi the worst was two in a 24 hour period as a gunner. The first one knocked me out, I woke up in the aid station. So the post deployment health check up deal at Ft. Carson I was told I have TBI. When I put my original claim in back in 07 I did not put TBI. Jump to 2010, I ask my primary to refer me to the polytrauma clinic at livermore hospital. I get referred and go through all of the tests. The last thing I hear is that PNS team is going to review their findings and come up with a care plan. I never heard back from them. I did not actively pursue it either I was in a dark place at the time. So September 8th I meet with my psychiatrist and she looks through my records and the poly team determined that I have TBI. At the C&P appointment the Dr. Says that I have TBI and have had it since 2005 and that VA let me fall through the cracks and he would put that in his report. So I feel that I will get sc for TBI. Am I wrong for being hopeful? Stay safe Russ
  21. Thank you all for the swift responses. I am quitting work. I just turned in my badge and credentials today. I am currently enrolled at university of Phoenix and it is the only thing I am doing well at right now in my life. I just switched from chapter 33 to chapter 31 benefits. That was a fight in itself because my counselor originally found me ineligible because I am sc for PTSD was working as a cop. As soon as I notified him I was no longer working I was found eligible. My psychiatrist told me that I need to be on tdiu until I find a career that wont cause me to have meltdowns. So should I go to ebenefits and put in a claim for tdiu right now? I am doing all of this myself. I am a paying member of the vfw and dav and every time I have reached out to a VSO I have received no help. I got a call from the caregiver program today, I was denied that program because I will be at the inpatient program, which makes sense the lady I spoke with told me to reapply when I am out of treatment. Lastly the women that is doing my in processing for menlo park told me I would receive the temporary rating the whole time I was in the program after I hit 21 days. Also should I apply for ssdi right now or wait until I am in the program? Once again I appreciate all of the responses. Stay Safe Russ
  22. Good morning everyone my name is Russ and this is my first post, I have been reading a lot of posts on here but could not find the answers I am looking for. A little background about myself I served six years as an 11B in the ARMY I was in Ramadi and Fallujah in 04-05. I have been Service connected for PTSD at 70% and tinnitus at 10% since 10 August 2007. I have been working as a police officer for the last two years, and my ptsd has gotten progressively worse since becoming an LEO. It is bringing back all the worst of it. So I filed a C&P for an increase on my ptsd Tbi and right shoulder and knee injury back in June and recently my panic attacks and anxiety and overall aggression ha gone through the roof. I have been on sick leave since september 10th (There was no way I was going to be able to work 9/11). My psychiatrist wrote me up to be admitted into the ptsd inpatient program in menlo park and I am scheduled to go in 19 October 2015 if I can get my drinking under control, and well this has me scared for a few reasons. None have to do with the treatment I am fully and ready to do whatever it takes to become better so I can have a happy life with my three daughters (ages 8-5-2) what concerns me is that I will be quiting work when i go into treatment. I cannot be an LEO it is killing me. Second i had a c&p exam in august for an increase in ptsd (the guy told me if I was not working I would not be 100%!!) when the hospital puts my claim in for the temporary increase for 100% will this pending claim slow down that process? I am worried because I am the sole provider for my family. Also how long does a temporary increase last? The VA wanted to give me TDIU back in 07 but I declined it. Again thank you to everyone on this forum it has been a wealth of knowledge. If this is not the correct location mods please move it to the right one. Stay Safe Russ
