  1. I live in Nebraska and all of my claim have been done in Nebraska. I will never move from Nebraska for the fear my file will end up some where else. The Lincoln VARO in my opinion is better than most.
  2. I recently went to a ENT appointment with sinus complaints. I have problems breathing and sleeping account of my sinus problems. Three years ago I had a private doctor perform sinus surgery which consisted of septatoplasty, turbinate reduction and a polyp was removed. I explained to the VA ent that the private ENT did not see the polyp on examination until the surgery. The VA ENT said that he wasn't trained to use a scope in the office and could only use a mirror to look. The VA ENT went to medical school after WWII. He also said he can't perform certain surgeries because of his tremors. He told me to just spray Afrin in my nose at night to help me breath. Yesterday I went to a private ENT. He could not see any polyps either. But he then used a scope in the office and found polyps on both sides. He scheduled a CT scan which found severe sinusitis. I'm having surgery in the next couple weeks. Is there anything I should tell the VA? Am I justified in filing a Tort claim? Should the VA pay my out of pocket expense I'm going to pay account there inept Dr?
  3. I know medicare pays for chiropractors
  4. I've had nuerological problems for years. For 5 years a diagnoses of possible Multiple Sclerosis and for the last 2 years a diagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis. After enduring the diagnoses of MS and the subsequent treatment for MS such as steroid treatment and daily shots of Copaxone which is a MS drug that causes burning and painful swelling, I might not have MS. I have never had lesions on any MRI and never had a positive spinal tap showing MS. Without either of these they shouldn't be able to give a diagnoses of MS. I've been service connected for undiagnosed illness for bowel problems. After all of this is said and done and later down the road I'm found out not to have MS, Will I have a tort claim. No one should be given a diagnoses of MS if its not absolutely for sure. Having a diagnoses of MS is mentally hard on someone.
  5. I know what you are saying, between depressiong with a gaf of 35 to 40 and "multiple sclerosis" my memory and the inability to search for something is like climbing up Mount Everest for the simplest of things The next time someone asks a question on Hadit, please don't assume they have the ability to search for the answer. Just be kind a help.
  6. Is the inability to ejaculate (retarted ejaculation) rated under the same thing as "erectile dysfunction" as far as SMC K code?
  7. I understand the minimum rating for MS is 30%, but how is the rating for MS calculated? Is the rating separated for each individual disability such as weakness of each limb, numbness, nuerogenic bladder etc.......... or is the rating for MS given as a whole for all problems?
  8. When I'm feeling more depressed than usual I have the same thoughts with suicide when driving. I avoid driving when I know there is a possibility I'll feel suicidal while driving. I've talked to another veteran that experiences the same thoughts while driving.
  9. The cola as of today is 6.2% with 2 months to go.
  10. Maybe one of these will work. WV Division of Veteran Affairs VFW 304-399-9395 Paralyzed Veterans of America 304-399-9393 Disabled American Veterans 304-399-9350 Military Order of Purple Heart 304-399-9296 If they can't help you directly they possibly could transfer you to the Regional Office. All of the above are located in the regional office building.
  11. Has anyone mentioned multiple sclerosis? My MS symptoms started with only my left hand numbness with pain. Now Almost my entire body has some degree of numbness with on and off pain. I had a EMG when only my hand was numb and the EMG was negative. A nuerologist that deals with MS would believe you when it comes to pain.
  12. Shamrock thank you. How often is this updated?
  13. Shamrock were did you get the info mentioned?
  14. I figure at todays low interest for savings accounts that $100,000.00 at 1% interest for 1 day comes up to about $2.74.
