  1. please, write the president - call macain --- make that palin --- write or call your congress person. We are the people --- get involved!!!!
  2. I'm 100% and use the VA for my health care. However, the care is only good for medication and test. I want to go to a civilian doctor. I have medicare but don't like the thought of paying 25% of the bill. My question - who uses medicare and just how does the program work? Thanks - Bob
  3. Are you still in a condition that would afford you the benefit? If so, then you have nothing to fear! What most likely will happen is the VA will schedule you for a C&P. Again, you're condition will dictate whether the award is continued. The VA isn't on a witch hunt - they're accountable to the citizens who pay the benefit. Law is blind. Your personal belongings means nothing to those who manage the program -- it's allot like your relationship with the IRS.
  4. The VA does an outstanding job in assessing claims = don't base or voice an opinion if you haven't research the situation. Even though they are not fantastic in making timely decisions = a decision is made that in almost - in all cases -- fair and timely. No other country in the world is like ours. I salute the VA and thank them for there support. Bob
  5. No - the law is what governs SSDI. Granted - some states don't have the work load others do - however - when your time comes - the rating is based on facts not geography.
  6. Jim - are you service connected for your heart - if so does the request for ssdi have this evidence? Is it the medication that hold you back from being employed? What about a doctors statement?
  7. Looks like you burned bridges and are now having to deal with your anger. If she stated that she was advised not to speak with you then the die is cast. What I'd suggest you do is turn this around if you can. Remember - if you fight anger with anger - all you'll get is misery. The advise for you to take it up the chain is an option, however there's garbage already in the road that has to be cleaned first. What I'd suggest you do is check with your county mental health community if you need assistance right now! Bob
  8. How is your blood pressure now vs then - was your heart attack due to your military service - you said you had a stint replaced? How is it that the Army recalled a disabled veteran - one with a service connected disability? Any benefit you claim will be scrutinized by the VA.
  9. Your taxes will be half of what you received - you can spread it out over the years that it was paid to include - find someone to do your taxes - don't complain - it's a blessing.
  10. Jim - why did you apply for SSDI? Is it a valid claim? If your medical condition stipulates that you are not capable of working because of disabilities (doctor suggested SSDI) then you have nothing to worry about. What's your gut tell you? Ask yourself - with all the evidence you have - would you award SSDI?
