  1. BUCK52, Dr. Bash's mother passed away at the end of July 2016. And as we all know death of a beloved family member is trying to say the least. And I would reckon that Dr. Bash needed time to grieve. But, he is back working and I received my first draft on Monday, October 3rd. I am looking everything over as he instructed, and because I like to know everything, I am trying to read the references that he put in my IMO. I thought that I had just about every scrap written about burn pits, but he had more. Right now, I'll have to say that I am very pleased with what he has written in his IMO for my late husband. I was contacted on Friday, October 1st by a very nice lady named Alice Burns. She is working with Dr. Bash helping him to get caught up. Dr. Bash has been responding very quickly to me through his regular email address. Dr. Bash is alive and is working again. Give him a chance to get caught up and be persistent. He will be in touch. Thanks again to all on HADIT. Kathy M. Mixon
  2. Hey 63Charlie, UPDATE: Last Friday, September 30th, I got a call from Alice Burns. She is working with Dr. Bash. Super nice lady. Anyway, after a rather long chat about the IMO that I needed and about what Dr. Bash had been going thru, I received a draft of my IMO. It needs a little more work, but it's stuff that I didn't include in my initial packet. So, Dr. Bash is alive and well. And just like all of us needed a break to take care of family business. I will send your name ( if okay with you) to Alice. To Everyone else.............I am sorry that I came here to gripe and moan about Dr. Bash. When he (Dr. Bash) told me in December that he could help me, I knew that he would be my last hope to get a IMO for my late husband. Jimmy's death was so sudden, and our primary doctor was afraid to help me. As a matter of fact, all of our doctors refused to write a IMO for me. Dr. Bash has done what he said that he'd do. And I appreciate him. Again thanks to HADIT and Dr. Bash. Kathy M. Mixon
  3. Been there and done that! It's three years since my husband passed away from a very sudden illness. I would love to have closure............ Kathy
  4. Hey Berta, Thanks for the response. I did a lot of research and that's how I ended up here. Dr. Bash was highly spoken of. When I contacted him, I laid my situation out as clearly as I could. Mainly because from what I could tell, his expertise was Veterans. I needed the IMO for my survivors' benefits thru the Base Defense Act. My husband and I were civilian contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jimmy was a burn pit operator. But Dr. Bash he said that he could help me, and I took him for his word. We agreed upon a price of 5K and to date ( Bash offered me a payment plan) I have paid 4K. I sent him all the medical records, nice and neat along with a ton of research I had done. And that was in January of this year. And I thought I understood that he'd send me the IMO in a few weeks. But nothing. I did get a couple of email's from "CHRIS" , but that's about it. If he (Dr. Bash) had a death in the family, a simple email to let us know would have been okay for me. But NOTHING week after week and me calling, emailing and faxing and getting no response is something different. It makes me feel like I have been SCAMMED! I have decided that I have just lost my money, and am going to lose my survivor benefits............ Like I have said in earlier posts, If I get anything at all from Dr. Bash, I will post. Kathy
  5. thanks RUREADY! Had a great attorney, but since I couldn't get my IMO, had to find another one. The one good thing about the Base Defense Act is no lawyer fee's! Kathy
  6. RUREADY, Thanks for the info! I need a IMO for my survivor benefits for the Base Defense Act. I thought that a independent Medical Opinion would be the solution. And I have to admit, I was very wrong. Cheers! Kathy
  7. Hey john999, Maybe news about Bash will surface? Maybe not. I can't say that for me it doesn't matter, because it does. He charged me 5K, offered a payment plan. I really didn't have a clue about how much a IMO would cost, but I should have been smarter. I am out 4K on this deal. He can try and cash the last 2 checks, but they won't be honored. Have a good Tuesday! Kathy
  8. 63Charlie, I think you and I are in the same boat. I also read the complaints, but there was so much more good out there about Dr. Bash. I figured that he would be able to help me with my IMO. I did get responses from a "Chris", but that has stopped also. I would talk to your bank and ask them to not honor any more checks to Dr. Bash. At least you won't be out any more $$$. Maybe he'll surface. Also, I am going to see if maybe the Ellis folks can help me. It won't hurt to talk to them. I am not a veteran nor was my husband. But we both worked in Iraq and Afghanistan as civilian contractors. My husband died on July 4th, 2013. From the time we got the cancer diagnosis (Stage IV Renal Cancer), until he died was less than 15 days. He never got to see an oncologist or a pulmonary doctor outside of being in the hospital. NONE of our doctors would write a medical letter of opinion for me. I heard "NO" more times than I care to think about. For me, finding Bash was almost my last hope. But, like most things, maybe it he was just too good to be real. You being a vet, and being in this situation is crazy! I am at loss for words about this. If I hear anything at all, I'll post again. Kathy
  9. Good Day all. I also hired Dr. Bash to do a IMO in January of this year based on information here on Hadit. But I have heard nothing about my IMO. Last I received was this on 07/22/16: I responded, and still have received nothing. I have tried every number, fax number, and nothing. Truthfully, I really think that I have been scammed. Everything seems legit. And yes, money has exchanged hands. I no longer expect to receive anything from Bash, but if I do, I will advise.
