  1. Thank you both for your responses. I do know it would be rated at 0% which makes sense to be the same as the males. What I am wondering because obviously it won't be a 60% would I even get a look at (hopefully a good rated) or would my claim automatically be denied because I am already P&T? Thank you again for your guidance. Also...I have never been disapproved on any of my claims. First time go on all. I have a NOD on my SSB being collected when I made my first claim but I had no issues with the outcome of % at all. I will file this week....P.S. There is more than medication that causes ED/FSAD. MST is one....
  2. I believe like men who are qualified and awarded ED...I should be awarded FSAD...yes it is only $ and I know will be 0% but I think I deserve the extra just like a male is. I so appreciate your responses. It's hard to find a group that will give u both sides of the road.

  4. Thank you bronkovet! And I cant believe I spelled FSAD wrong!
  5. Good evening. Has anyone submitted a claim for FSADD since the VASRD Code was approved in May? I am 100% sure I would be approved % would be 0 like the males with ED and should receive the same SMC-K as the males. I am looking specifically as whether I would file it secondary to PTSD (due to MST). There is another post in one of the forums about someone who did have a C&P exam for the MST but nothing was asked secondary to their claim for PTSD. Anyone else requested approval for this?
  6. Thank you for your response. I have enough SC disabilities that I am 100% without having to request the extra %. Thank you again!
  7. Good afternoon. I received my VA decision in April for 100% P&T. I keep seeing responses in other posts about "by scheduler." What exactly is this? What should I look for when I dig back into my rating decision? Thank you in advance!
  8. Thank you all for the many topics posted on here for us to follow. I filed August 2016 first claim and April 20th 2018 I received my 100% P&T.
  9. Hi. I understand your frustration with being diagnosed with "depression, anxiety," but other than wanting the award of PTSD....how does that affect your % status? I promise I mean NO disrespect at all...I am really asking because I want to know what other benefits you would receive if the 50% for Depression, Anxiety were to be changed to PTSD. I know the VA only gives one rating for Mental Health so not asking for the other to be replaced but asking for PTSD to be added (in my understanding ) does not help u in gaining more than what u have now % wise. I hope someone can put clarity on this?
  10. Good morning. I am submitting a claim for an increase from 50% to 70% on PTSD. I know I qualify for the rating that's not the information I am looking for. What I would like to know is if adding the VA psychiatrist and ppsychologist notes would assist with the claim or will the person looking at the claim pull the records themselves?
  11. There is a elderly Navy Veteran, retired civil service wondering if he (actually my father) is eligible for VA health care. I have tried to explain to him that since he was never called to Active Duty for war purposes (Vietnam War time period) and was only on reserve status doing his two weeks of duty a year that he DOES NOT qualify for VA health care. He is not service connected for anything. For some reason he has gotten it in his head he needs to be with the VA for health care and benefits. He is 74 and probably only has a couple months left to live due to complications from COPD. If I am wrong, can someone please point me in the direction as to where the information might be? He has full health care, Medicare and a monthly retirement check. I believe the Kaiser Insurance may have told him the VA would do modifications to his home if he was eligible for the benefit. I know I did not meet the financial qualification so I had to wait until I was 50% service connected to be eligible for VA care. Why he thinks he qualifies is a mystery. THANK YOU!
  12. Thank you for your response John. I already see a psychiatrist. I am asking why they would want a C&P for the secondary if I just had a C&P for my rated conditions in July.
  13. Hi. I submitted a claim for "DDD" secondary to Cervical Strain and Lumbar Strain. I have MRI's and other documents showing that it is service connected. I already am rated 20% for Cervical Strain and 40% for Lumbar strain. The MRI's clearly show bulges and herniated discs in both the cervical and lumbar area. The report states DDD and DJD on both neck and back. I have a herniated disc that is actually pressing on the spinal cord (not just the spinal canal). Do you think they might be examining for nerve damage as well?
  14. My FDC for this same issue (sorry it happened to you as well) only took 8 months from the date filed. Because it needed a C&P exam it was changed from a FDC to a regular claim so I guess I was lucky in that it only took me 8 months. It was a favorable decision.
  15. Hi Broncovet. My doctor does want to support me; however, he does not know how the VA wants "bed rest" noted when doctors rarely give bed rest for neck and back issues. The VA requires that for IVDS (Hast to do with the vertebrae) to be rated at 60% you have to have bed rest prescribed by a doctor. That is nearly impossible to get! Most doctors don't want you to be down in bed for 6 weeks a year just to get a 60% rating which I would easily qualify for. I do have days off work that equals to the 6 weeks but those work excuses only state "under doctors care" not the wording the VA wants them to use. I have looked at BVA cases and all of them that I found were denied the higher rating because their physician prescribed "under doctor care no work" and not "bed rest." VA needs to change that requirement. My opinion.
