Phyllis Crager's Achievements

  1. Good Morning and Happy New Year, I am a concern parent of a Boatswain Mate that recently got out of the Navy in September last year. He is having hip, back, neck pain no sleep that he thought would go away after leaving the Navy and the routine daily work. If anything it has gotten worse. My husband and daughter and I convince him into filing a calm which he started last night. To our surprise he had a lot more issues wrong with him than we thought going through the list of ailments on the forms. He works full time has a wife and a son and one on the way. He has no insurance yet because he can not afford it and his wife is half though her pregnancy. He will be starting college January that will help his income if he can do both work full time and school full time. My concern is he didn't get treated medically for hip and back pain or trouble even though we told him to. He didn't want to look weak. It took the Navy forever to look at his feet he had a ingrown toe nail that wouldn't get better I thought for sure it would have to be amputated. So he didn't want to complain and was strong and he suffered, he was worried about it being put in his file and it would stop him from getting a job. He is 26 years old this month he went from our house to the Navy's house. He is really having a hard time mentally and physically since he has been out of the Navy. I tried to tell him to file before getting out but he thought being disable it would stop him from getting jobs. Please any thoughts or advice would be so appreciated. Thank You in Advance, A Concern Mother
