  1. Hi, I am only 24 years old and while on active duty i had a hysterectomy. about a year after being the service i started having problems. the doctor figured out what was wrong. I had Endometriosis. If you have endometriosis, the tissue lining the inside of your uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterus on your ovaries, fallopian tubes or other pelvic organs. This condition can cause pain or irregular bleeding. When medication or conservative surgery doesn't improve endometriosis, you might need a hysterectomy. I tried everything but nothing worked and the air force was doing everything possible to kick me out but i kept fighting. i ended up having one child but i couldn't have anymore. I was given 2 things to do.... suffer with the pain and get kicked out of the military or have a hysterectomy and stay and feel better. problems was i still have problems i am only 25 and i am going through a really hard time. i ended up getting out of the service when my 4 years was up b/c i just couldn't stand how i got treated. I see you point of view on how you feel but they way i see it you have to get what you can take and i am trying to get everything i can . ashley 70% service connected
  2. Well I want to start by telling everyone Thank you for all of your help. I have gotten my award letter in. I have been awarded a 70 % service connected on my claim. There was 2 things that where denied but that is ok. I will fight those if I can. It reads as follows: (service connection) History of endometriosis status post hysterectomy 50% Migraine headaches 10% patellofemoral syndrome of the left knee 10% low back strain 10% depressive disorder 10% hypertnsion 0% residuals of a fracture of the right fifth toe 0% Thanks for everyone's Help Ashley
  3. My Doc put me on Propranolol. I take one daily. and I also take Zomig. It take my migraines away just like that. Since being on these meds I have went from 3 to 4 migraines a week too just 1 to 2 migraines a week. It works for me.
  4. I was just wondering when they decided on your percentage, how much do you draw then? Just wondering!!!!! thanks Ashley
  5. Ok. I think I understand.... i get confused of all this stuff...
  6. No, there isn't a code but it said in the letter that they going to send me a official award letter in the mail.
  7. Hi All, Well I got a letter in the mail today and this is what it read: We have received a preliminary decision from the VA agreeing with our argument that service connection should be established for your hysterectomy, low back strain, left knee, headaches, depression, fractured right fifth toe and hypertension. A combined 70 percent disability evalustion is being assigned, with further entiltlement to Specail Monthly Compensation due to loss of use of a creative organ, effective from March 28, 2005. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it means by the Special monthly compensation due to loss of use of a creative organ. Thanks Ashley
