  1. I appreciate VA very much for my medications. I saved over $250.00 a month just on co-pays. On the insurance I had at work. Since I had to quit work and my insurance running out. I now receive my medications at no cost. VA has even refilled my medications early due to me going out of town. Maybe I have been lucky.
  2. John999 can you get on My Health Vet? It was a pain to get on but I think its the best way to go for me. Is all your medications messed up? If so I would call the prescription refill line on any medication that would cause harm to me if I missed several days taking it. Hell !!!! I would call them on all my medications if I had sent my papers back on time. To see if they were being shipped on time.
  3. I have been getting my medications from VA by mail since the last of 2006. I use My Health Vet for refills. Without hardly any problems. The renewal block that has to be checked for me to a get the medication refilled. With exception of my Fentanyl patches. The block to check for my Fentanyl does not come up to be checked like the rest of my medications. Since Fentanly is one of drugs that the federal government states. This is one of the medications that can not have any refills on a prescription. A new prescription has to be written every month by your doctor. I was told to always call Prescription Refill by phone 7 to 10 days before my prescription for Fentanyl was due. I call Prescription Refill on the first or second of the month.I have them to send my doctor a note to write a new prescription for my Fentanyl. Make sure he or she is there not on vacation or some other place. If your doctor is not there have them to contact someone that will write a new prescription. My doctor has a new prescription within one or two days discounting weekends and holidays.I receive my medication around the 11th or 12th by 10:30 am. It is always sent next day delivery. .So if your doctor does not write a new prescription every month without being reminded for medications on the federal list. You may want to. I know we should not have to call. But it is easier to call them, than run out. Withdrawals suck My Hydrocodone prescription can show refills. So I have no problem with it. Since I wrote this I will probably start having a lot of trouble.
  4. Thank you Sharon . I have sent in a request for pay records.
  5. Thank you very much for the quick reply. This is a big help. Now I just have to prove that I was there. I just remember what they told us the project was. On the side of the trucks we used had Project Ignition Switch. I remember before being assigned to the project. I was at Field 5 or 6 at Eglin for Ranger school. With Co. D 1/29 Infantry the company I was assigned to at Fort Benning. We saw this trucks at different places with Project Ignition Switch on them. I just hope I can find some information that will help someone else. No one respects the Vietnam vet any more than i. So so many are sick from AO and other things. The trouble with AO. Is that a person has the same sicknesses regardless where on the map their exposed.
  6. In1969 - 1971 while being in the Army stationed at Fort Benning Ga. I was assigned temporary duty at Eglin AFB Florida. I made 4 or 5 different trips to Eglin for support to the Ranger School. We were the aggressors for the Ranger students. At times we had to eat and sleep in areas that had a very strong smell of fuel oil. In these areas there was nothing living vegetation or insects. I remember times of us talking about it could not be good for us to be in these areas for a day or two. When we left these areas our clothes would be oily all over. In mid to late July until late October 1970. I was sent TDY to Eglin AFB main base assigned to Project Ignition Switch. Our job had us us in many places of Eglin. Seven to ten days of this time was spent working around the Greenville and Anderson S.C. area. Thirty five years or so later while helping a Vietnam vet friend of mine. In getting information regarding Agent Orange used in Vietnam. To my surprise I found out that the spraying equipment was developed and tested at Eglin AFB. I have a claim in for diabetes from Agent Orange exposure. I am waiting on a BVA review. I was told that VA and DOD both agree that AO was used at Eglin. I will have to prove that I was exposed. I have my personnel records. They only show that I was at Eglin assigned to the ranger school 1 time. There is no mention in my records of Project Ignition Switch. All of us assigned to Project Ignition Switch. Had to have a security clearance of Confidential or higher. Can anyone help me with some places to look to find my records? Maybe someone else that was there has their records. I have already sent a request to the Freedom of Information Act site. They stated that they had no record of Project Ignition Switch.
  7. I received the decision on my claim on regarding IU. They stated that my service connected conditions combine to an evaluation of 90%. Therefore I meet the schedular requirement for IU. A statement I sent them from my doctor. He stated that I unable to maintain gainful employment. I had to quit work in 2006 due to my pain from 4 lower back operations all concerted failed surgeries. Also from side effects of pain medications. After quitting work I started working 2 or 3 days a month. My income for 2006 was 0, income for 2007 was $825.00, 2008 was $3150.00, 2009 was $2100.00. All well below the means for my area. I was denied IU due to I have not sent them my tax statements for those years. I sent them my tax statements for those years along with a letter of disagreement. Can anyone tell me what all this means? Did I do the right thing? The service officer helping me has not returned any of my calls since April of this year. Any help will be greatly appreciated! I hope this makes since to someone.
