If the VA takes their ratings seriously then a HB or A&A vet should be getting maximum home care. Also, no driving 50-100 miles to some VAMC. The vet should be able to get care at closest point. This is my logic,but knowing the VA they disagree. about a year or so ago, my then primary care doctor told me she would put in a consult so i could get home healthcare and wouldn't need to go to a va facility unless necessary. i liked the idea of doctors and nurses coming to my home. but i told her no because i still wanted the option of leaving my home and going to the clinic. it is, however, still an option.
