Question

Hi,

I cracked a tooth tonight while eating dinner that needs Dental Attention tomorrow. I'm currently rated 60%, and low income. Can I show up at a V.A. Dental Clinic and get this tooth taken care of???

Throbing tooth wants to know.

Thanks,

PJ

It's to late for me now, but I sure as heck wished I had took better care of them earlier in life! For me, it's been like a domino effect. Every time I pull one, then later the next one comes loose, and on, and on, and on. Oh well, it'll just make it easier for the dentist when I go in for dentures. ha

At 60 % SC there is no dental care provided.

Some may argue that if it effects a SC'd condition the VA will take care of it,

I say - good luck on that one.

JMHO

since i have inflammatory arthritis, i have been able to get emergency dental work done at my local clinic. both my primary care doc and dentist swore me to secrecy but it can be done.

Yes never give up there are ways other than 100% to get free VA Dental care. If you are in VA Hospital they have to give you dental care. If you are in a VA program such as Voc Rehab you get it. Also if you were involved in a Vet program and they have many you should get it.

Also emergency dental care is offered with copays.

And as stated by iceturkee if a VA Doc says you need it for a condition they are treating you can get it.

Good Luck
