Question

You do not have any open claims on record with VA at this time. If you believe that an open claim exists, please call VA at 1-800-827-1000, Monday-Friday, 8am to 9pm EST, for assistance. why would I receive this letter if I already received my award letter and my case has been closed since 01/15/2015.\

Received: 12/03/2014 (Compensation)

  • Claim Closed: 01/15/2015
  • Disabilities Claimed: Major depression (Secondary), Obsessive compulsive disorder (claimed as anxiety condition) (Increase), Individual unemployability (New)
  • Current Status: Complete help_icon.gif

The VA is sending a decision packet to you via U.S. Mail. The packet includes detailed information explaining your decision or award. Please allow standard mailing time for your packet to arrive before contacting the VA call center.

Did the VA award (or deny) all direct claimed conditions. Are there any secondary conditions that you did not directly mention, and the VA ignored the existence of?

It may be that this is just a cover tail form response, or there is something that was left out. If it were my claim, I'd likely delve into the depths of E-benefits,

possibly start a new claim (Just to be able to see what the actual claim detail shows, don't know if you can see the info any other way) and go from there.
