All you need to do is file the same way that you file any claim and submit the new & material evidence with the filing. The VA will automatically re-open the previous claim as long as the new evidence qualifies.

Thanks bluevet, but that doesn't answer the question.

I need to know the correct form.

My VSO says Form 526B is invalid and use Form 526EZ.

I thought 21- 526EZ was for "quickie" claims.

Is there a number where someone knows the right answer?

I'd use the 526 (b) according to attorney John Walsh, check out some of the hadit.com  archives podcast radio shows  I think he was on there a month or so ago and talked about the FILLING FORMS and he mention if your filing for increase or reconsideration I believe he said to use the 526 (b)

If you want your claim expedited under the "Fully Developed Claim" process, then you must use form 21-526EZ. If you do not want your claim expedited, then you can use either form.

Fat,

I don't think it matter what form you file  to reopen a claim  in the old days to reopen a claim you could file any form for service connection after a finally denied

I appreciate the responses.

I'm going to use the Form 21-526b.

I think the VSO is totally wrong.

You can use the 526EZ; however the 21-526b is simple and straight to the point.

I'm service connected for Rhinitis at 0%.

I just want to reopen the claim for a evaluation for a higher rating (10%).
