M60 Tanker

Question

I went last week to get a increase in my rating for my neck. The question is I also filed for asthma and Sinusitis that was caused in a tank accident. And asthma was caused ina tank fire. I have sent paper work from my Dr with all the paperwork to the VA. And also a statement from a E-7 that was there when this fire happen and the accident happen. When have I not had a C@P for these other problems. At this I am getting 30%. This for my hearing and my neck. Thanks for some all help.

M60 Tanker:

First of all it's an honor to communicate with a fellow former tanker. I loved Tanks but was in an accident and main gun explosion. The bottom line is that we were once in a very dangerous profession. A CSM at Fort Knox told our group when we started our M60 Training that a tank is designed to Kill and it dos not care whom it kills or injuries. He said you have to love your tank and treat it like your sweetheart so it will protect you. The good news is that it appears like you were able to get buddy statements and that was a big help for me as well. During a Tank accident, the commanders hatch pin broke during maneuvers and the hatch hit my head, neck, and back...As a result, I live with severe pain and see a famous pain specialist...but we have not been able to eliminate my pain...

I was also involved with an explosion of the main gun barrel...so I feel your pain. My neck was  rated at 30%..but it's getting worse...

Rootbeer22 I was also in M60s My hearing was blown out by getting blown off the fender by the main gun. My asthma was caused by a fire inside a M60 at Ft Polk the tank was combat loaded on the range assembly area. We climbed inside and pulled the TC out and then we started pulling ammo before it went off. My sinus  cavities was crushed by a gunners seat spring loaded rod hitting in the face. I am worried that I have not asked to come to get a C@P on my sinus and asthma the VA will say they are not service connected  My Yes I love tanks God loves tanker because no one else does.
