Proposal of Severance of Service Connection

HI Everyone,

i just went through the long process of submitting a claim for Anxiety and Depression and even had a C&P. i was awarded 70% service connection in April 2016. now i log into Ebenefits and see it shows " Proposal of severance of service connection for Anxiety and depression"  not sure what this is but everything i find online says my 70% will be lowered or taken away. 

can anyone shed some light on this?

you have to get a letter in the mail  explaining this?

are you sure it said ''severance''  or proposal to reduce ?

Make sure your mailing address is correct for both the VAMC and with the VARO/ebenefits. It might sound strange, but sometimes letters might be mailed out and either go to an old or incorrect address. When no response is received by the VA, they may cancel benefits and then they blame the veteran.

I don't think it is normal to get awarded an increase and then four months later get a request for severance or reduction. Definitely look into it.

check your claim # could be another veteran?

Thanks for your replies. I called and they said it was sent to my old address and i have to wait another week to see if i receive it. the anxiety is driving me insane and im hoping i get something soon. Will let you all know when i do
