Whats the record?

Question

I put in a claim to add 2 secondary conditions and an increase on my spine rating on 19 Jan 2017 and on 27 Jan 2017 it has gone to prep for Decision. Is this a record?

I had the DBQ's done on this when I turned in the claim.   Initially they put in that this would be finished between Jul 2017 to Jan 2018. Getting the DBQ's completed cuts months from the process.

I will only be satisfied  when the Award Packet arrives at my house & I look at it.

who know what the decision will be?  even if they had'' Pending decision Approval'', And the the''Prep for Notification'' they could low ball like they usually do.

Never count on e benefits they want us to squirm and wonder.

60 days is pretty fast for a claim to be decided as long as its in your favor and what you expected  However its always best to wait for that packet and read it over pretty good.

If a C&P Exam is scheduled its usually before the decision,  its what helps them make a decision , if no C&P exam is scheduled then they didn't need it to make a decision .

usually that means the Veteran had all the Medical Records and Evidence for them to make the decision  which  usually that never happens or not likely , but it does happen in some claims, depends on what the claim is and how difficult it is  as well as other issues.

I have to let them know they rated my condition wrong.  It still will be rated at the same %, but a different code.

I had the C&P exams done before I put in my claim. Everything was laid out, documented, all my "i"s were dotted, and the "t"s were crossed. I gave them dates and time and highlighted them all in my VA Record (blue button report). All they had left to do was to rate the condition and assign a %.

I started another claim already.  I have been working for the last 3 months to document a cervical spine condition which involves a twist (left to right) in my spine that travels to my neck.  Getting numb spots in both hands and outer forearm when I lay down, takes time to get through Xray and MRI and then EMG and NCV tests w/VA.  Next is consult the neurologist, who already told me that the spineous process going into my neck is crooked.  I put in notice of intent 1 week after I put in this claim that just closed.

Roger That pwrslm,

All Veterans need to do this and be prepared  with c-file  & Medical Records and Evidence before Filing their Claim...ITF (Intent to File) is Good.  JUST DON'T LET THE YEAR RUN OUT!

Although with all this said  some times they fail to read the evidence or all the evidence and this is what causes a lot of denials.& NOD's

Last one I put in for was 20 Jan 2016, I put the claim in 19 Jan 2017.  Not one second late...lol.

The most important thing is to study the condition, find out what needs to be done to document it, and then keep pestering your PCP for action.  They are so slow...

90% CSC, great news, did the Retro hit yet? What was your SC% before the increase?

In you initial post's, you indicated you had a C & P before you filed your most recent claim, right.

How's that possible, C & P Exams are ordered by the RO Rating Dept after they receive your claim. Now it could be that your VMC Recent Exams made an actual C & P unnecessary. Did you request that your VMC specialists complete Condition Specific DBQ's at the time of your exam?

When you get your Award Letter, how about posting a redacted copy. Should be interesting reading.
