ITF Error Rate (intent to file)

Rate this question

Question

Evidently, the amount of missed ITFs is so high the VA made every single hand take a class, even VSRs who have no bearing on the award date.

eBenefits ITFs are no longer in any folder, just recorded in a section of a VBMS drop down.

However, the systems acknowledgment letter IS recorded, but in Virtual VA- an obsolete folder. So if the incompetent rater overlooks it, then the incompetent POA says its not in your 'C-file', you know where to look.

if the ITF was filled via e benefits they should be a record of it and place in the veterans C-File and the Veteran should have access to his ITF in e benefits.

Now since all this digital compress/coppying over has been going on  anything the veteran files on should be digitized or what ever they call it  it all should still go into the CD Format of the veteran C-File

You're correct If you file the ITF old school, by sending it in or uploading an imaged page- Then it is there in VBMS to be printed at a later date.

But you're not getting an image of something that doesn't exist. When you file in eBenefits, it doesn't produce anything imagable, it only records your clicks as data in VBMS. The response letter mentioned in the first post is in the obsolete VVA, but whether the knucklehead you're asking to view/print has the knowledge, access or inclination ...

It's an excellent point that you should save eBenefits screen shots periodically, because it all just goes away as I recently found.

There's no 'C-File' anymore, all active folders are immediately scanned, so everything imaged is from a system folder.

The good thing here is that the VA sounds like they're taking the problems seriously, and you might be able to get a missed ITF 'fixed' informally.
