WHY would they do this,. at the time, I had been begging for a chiro appt, and never did get one. At the time, I was rated at 40 percent. Im at 60 percent now, and still cannot get a chiro appt. This document was found while parusing my med recs. It shows where my previous primary madew a consult refferal, then discontinued it all in one motion. Why would she do this? I was NEVER informed of any refferal. see attachment . chiro revised.pdf

Miller Statement on VA response to HVAC Subpoena May 20, 2014 WASHINGTON, D.C.— Chairman Jeff Miller released the following statement today regarding VA’s response to a subpoena from the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. “VA’s response to the committee’s subpoena is clearly inadequate and makes me suspicious that the department has something to hide. The subpoena sought e-mails and documents to or from more than two dozen VA officials, including Sec. Shinseki, regarding VA’s admitted destruction of a document department officials have speculated may be the “secret” list cited by Phoenix VA Health Care System whistleblowers. All VA delivered yesterday was about 200…

The VA Hospital just called me up to tell me my drug refill was running late, and, Oh, by the way, your doctor you have been seeing for the last 5 years retired today. Now I don't even know who my doctor is going to be next month. I have to send in a form every month to get my pain meds renewed. Now whoever I get for a new doctor may decide that they are going to take me off the pain meds I have been on for 10 years. I will just do what I always do and go around the VA to get what I want and need. I know their is a private pain doctor out there somewhere. Becoming dependent on the VA for anything is a mistake. I am sure I can live without VA pain meds, especially …

Hello all, Is there any requirement that you be seen by your PCM at the VA Medical Center once a year? I remember talking to a Vet at a bus stop once and he was living overseas but came back apparently just to check in with his PCM. So I'm wondering are there any requirements about that? Thank you

I am rated for back DDD and the VAMC is saying they have no proof of me having this issue. This has nothing to do with reducing my rating just saying I am lying about my pain. The psychiatrist making my primary Dr stop prescribing pain meds. He has ordered a new MRI for my back to show them they are full of it. Until then he is unable to prescribe me what I need. When they look for an MRI it isn't showing up unless you know how to navigate their system. My primary Dr even said I didnt have an MRI. I knew I did and he finally found it after 15 mins looking for it because I was persistent. Basically what I wanna know is how should I approach this? Has anyone e…

I am a "snowbird" between Las Vegas VAMC and Spokane Wa VAMC I have been going back and forth almost 5 years with no problems. I had a primary care doc at Spokane and Las Vegas.. I was informed around March 1 that this is now called "dual enrolled" and you can't do this unless you need critical care and all PC's agree to it. I get weekly infusions for anemia and blood loss. At this time, I'm in Las Vegas and get prescription and supply refills from Spokane, Portland and Las Vegas. Spokane VAMC "discontinued" all my meds and supplies from Spokane under this program. They also "discontinued" all my specialist prescriptions from Spokane. I can't seem to get anyone in…

Hey Everyone, So I recently recently lost my outside insurance. I still had been seeing the VA for primary care, most meds, etc. I only went outside for pain management because I don't like to beg. Last month I had to pay $450 out of pocket to cover a visit to a civilian provider and my meds. This was because my primary care doctor refused to write me a script and or contact pain management to get them to write a script for me without doing what I consider some degrading things. Mind you I was in the pain clinic at the VA 2009-2011 and with my back being service connected they have all my VA and civilian medical records showing I have been on opiates since 2006. …

I have private insurance, but have decided that I should try VA care. My civilian doctor is a goof ball, and thought about changing to another civilian doctor, but after reading about VA care, I thought that I would give it a try. However, useing the VA does make me nervous. I have always had it in my mind that they were the enemy, and just wanted to hurt the Veteran. Please reply with both positive and negative feed back. Papa

Ok I live in SC right on the NC/SC border I have been using the Rock Hill VA CBOC Clinic as my primary care doctor and Dorn VA as my primary hospital. When I get paid for travel it is based on the Salisbury NC VA as this is closer to me by just a few miles. I have been to their ER once and it was a positive experience, I have been to the ER at Dorn a few times and it has never been a positive experience, extremely long waits for starters. I have had several issues recently with my care, and was offered to switch to the Charlotte CBOC as my primary care and Salisbury as my primary hospital, I have been told waits to see specialists in Salisbury is only about a month, where…

Members on here pretty well know I am up to deaf without my hearing aide! First of this week had an ENT appointment (seems like I go every month lately) anyhow I was having problems with my service aided ear draining like crazy and could not get it to stop. Went in on Monday and saw the ENT resident with some trainee there and told them my problem. They look me over and poke in my ear and says that there is some inner ear stuff going on sounded like she said deflection? Guess that means the drainage not sure. Any how gave me some ear drops and told me to use for 5 days and come back in a month. Used the drops for 2 days and yesterday morning I had my aide in and it wa…

When you go to the VAMC, does your primary care doc actually check you? I wanted to pose this question to members of the Hadit family because I had a recent series of visits which sparked this question. Visit 1: Primary care doc only listened to me tell him what's wrong, but did not check anything else. Visit 2: Primary care doc was out. Alternate doc listened to my chest, checked my ears, nose, throat, etc... Visit 3: Follow up visit - Primary care doc again only listened to me tell him what's wrong, but did not check anything else. Anyone else have this happen to them too? I know the VA docs are encouraged to "flip" patients (turn them around asap), but…

I am retired now and am low man on the totem pole when someone needs our second vehicle. I generally roll with it as the reasoning is sound. My daughter-in-law just gave birth on the 15th. We let them use a car during the late stages of the pregnancy because my son had to be at work. My oldest daughter and family flew in for the holidays and are staying in the next town with the in-laws. My wife promised them my vehicle during their stay. I injured my shoulder avout 6 weeks ago. I initially thought it might get better on its own but no such luck. I was hesitant to make a VA appt. not knowing when I would have transportation. I also don't use the phone due to hearing l…
