Office Depot in Johnson City, Tennessee offers a 20% discount to veterans. I'm not sure if this discount is location specific or across the board at all locations.

So this company sent me an offer to drop my mortgage rate down 3% to 2.5%. No out of pocket expense to me. All fee financed in new loan. To me it seems too good to be true. Has anyone ever used this company? I'd hate to ruin my first home purchase by refinancing with a scam company. Any help/ knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Good morning Brother's and Sister's, I stumbled across this website a few months ago and as of this week we will have benefited from using this program three times. Since joining this Program, we have seen Boston & Joann Jet (2 Tickets - $14.97) , Matchbox Twenty & Counting Crows (4 Tickets - $14.97) and will be seeing the Goo Goo Dolls (4 Tickets - $14.97) tomorrow night. The price for all of these concerts (Reserved Seats) was a Will Call Delivery Fee and all of the prices combined were less than we would normally pay for one Reserved Seat. You can also get tickets to other events, not just concerts. If you are so inclined, use my referral link below (…

It doesn't look good. DOD DENIES DISABLED VETERANS SPACE AVAILABLE TRAVEL PRIVILEGES "I am an imperfect human being. So are you. That's the way it is. Some imperfections are obvious. Others are not. When we see the imperfections in others, it touches us deeply, sometimes with compassion, sometimes with revulsion, sometimes with feelings of helplessness, but always with emotion." Disabled Veterans are unjustly denied the Military Space Available Travel Privilege. Many reasons are stated for this denial, but the truth is based on emotion rather than reason. This denial by the DOD is analogus to "a mother cat who tries to hide or deny her deformed babies". This excl…

Hi folks, between getting my 100% with SMC-S and waiting for a decision from the SSA, I have been asking every place I go to if they offer a Veteran's discount. There aren't a whole bunch, but I have amassed a little list. I am in Southern California, but there are quite a few chain places that might be of use to some people. I will try to update as I find more. Craftsman (Sears) 20% Champs/Footlocker 20% Lowes/Home Depot 10% Dickey's BBQ 10% Kirkland 10% Old Navy 10% Sports Authority 10% Michael's 10% Payless Shoe Store 10% Tilly's 10% Jerse…

Folks: I'm looking to acquire a small disabled service connected business that has had some contracts for at least two years --but is no longer active. I'd prefer the business to logistics based company if possible like a lawn & landscaping company, trucking or janitorial business? But, we'd be willing to work with something similar as long as it still has the proper VA disabled certifications. Generally, the ideal situation is a company in which the owner has retired but no one has taken it over like a son or daughter? But,the key is that it must already/still have the small business service connected disabled status for the VA and VBA ---to be a viable candidate for…

New Home Depot military discount policy requires sign up at customer service desk with Military ID, address and a phone number. Cashier then looks up your info with phone number at checkout but may still check military ID. (Hope I remember I used old landline phone number cuz I abhor calls on my celly ) I asked her if a VA medical ID (which I used for years) would suffice and she said no. As is often the case, I can find no official info on Home Depot's website spelling out their military discount program. Kudos to Home Depot and others who offer military and veterans discounts!

Both offer 10% discount for all their items to all veterans. All you need to do is show your VA card to them. I was discounted just the other day whenever my dad told me about it...He said that Ace Hardeware also discounts 10%....

Has anyone else had this happen: We generally go to Foot Locker as they offer a military/retiree discount. My wife went in on Monday and is told to wait while they look me up in their system to verify my eligibility. I'm not in it, so she doesn't get the discount (~50$ for kids school shoes). She brings the slip that tells her (me) to go to a web site and provide a redacted copy of my ID, DD214, etc. They use this system to verify discounts for their stores: https://forourmilitary.sheerid.com/ Anyone else had this happen?
