Dependent not on award
I added my new wife yesterday on benefits, the claim is closed, and she is listed but not on award. Is it now just a waiting game for her to be on award or is there something else I need to do?

What happened to my Dependent award>
This morning, I checked ebenefits and it was still at waiting for decision approval. I just checked it again and now it says, "Prep for notification." So I decided to check my awards and it stayed the same at 90 percent with the award date of 2015. I then checked my dependent award and it has disappeared. It now lists my dependent but it said, "dependent not on award" where they use to be on it. So my question is, did I get denied? Awarded but ebennies not updated yet, and what happened to my dependents? I'm confused. Can anyone shed a light on this? Thanks.

Appraisal - VA Cash Out Loan - Ideas?
HI, I was in process of seeking a new VA loan to make needed repairs on my home that I live (purchased 8 years ago VA-Loan). VA Appraiser came out last week. Banker called today to advise that the VA Appraiser had indicated problems with home (stairs and siding). Banker stated these were "cosmetic" Loan proceeds were to be used for these repairs. Is there any remedy in this process for Veteran when appraiser report has these kinds of findings? Have not received a copy of the appraisal yet - banker indicates we must make repairs or loan will not proceed due to these findings. Thank you for reviewing.

Lab test, one way or round trip travel reimbursement?
Reference the Beneficiary Travel Self Service System (BTSSS) Reference paragraph 9. a. iii. The mileage requested is the total miles based on the selection of one way or round trip for Trip Type. You select one way if you did not schedule your appointment in advance and it was not for emergency care. Select round trip if the appointment was scheduled in advance or related to emergency care. Scheduled in advance for example would be an order for an MRI, x-ray or lab sample prior to your next appointment. How do you interpret this paragraph? My RA clinic requests that I have Labs done before each phone appointment. Last year for one of my Labs, the…

1-800-Peggy, Y
I had called Peggy today being the a cannot log into my VA.Gov site. All I wanted to know was the status of my claim. Why do Peggy make it a point of letting me know of when the last time I called? Do anyone else in the group notice that? I do not need to know call history, I need to know current status.

Ebenifits, Fiduciary Duty
I'll try and make this brief, #1) My 86-year-old, air force retired biological father's health has declined to a point where I have contacted his VA primary care doctor to determine his ability to drive safely. His GP agreed with my assessment and sent the DMV a retest required suspension. After talking with my father, he admitted he would not be able to pass a driving test, so he has voluntarily given up his license and now has a ID card only which I was directly involved in. I have sold his truck and paid off the loan that he had on that vehicle. #2) I have been added to my father bank account where his social security is being deposited #3) I have rec…

Found new disability listed in Ebenefits I did not claim
Good afternoon all, has this happened to anyone? I submitted a claim for Chronic Sinusitis (burn pit exposure) and was granted. However I just checked my list of disabilities in ebenefits, and VA added Allergic Rhinitis ( 0 %) to my list of disabilities even though I did not claim.

S.Brown
Is the VA still sending out the Big Brown envelopes via the mail with Award Letters? Today is 29 OCT 2021 and I just happened to go onto eBenefits to discover to my complete shock that I was awarded 💯 P&T on 1 SEP 2021? I’m extremely confused because I haven’t received notification nor has my monthly service connection changed or retropaid. To add to my confusion, I initiated the claim that placed me over the top on 16 AUG 2021. Would that not mean a 1 AUG 2021 effective date rather than 1 SEP?

% Rating assigned but eBenefits shows "Not service connected"
Hello, I hope someone here can help me. My claim for hearing lost was denied a few months ago. Ebenefits showed "Not Service Connected" just like the other claims that were denied. I am SC for PTSD and have ED due to the medication I am taking. So, I filed ED as secondary to PTSD and had the C&P exam a few weeks ago. Today, I log into eBenefits and I see that the previously denied (closed) claim of hearing lost how shows in the Rating column "0%" but then next to it "Not Service Connected". The "0" wasn't there before. The claim for ED as secondary to PTSD shows "Not Service Connected". My questions are: 1) Is it normal to have a rating and…

Higher Level Review for Sleep Apnea secondary to Allergic Rhinitis.
Hello all, I am new to the forums and looking for some guidance. I was denied service connection for sleep apnea through a claim that provided a Physicians Assistant nexus letter and dbq linking sleep apnea to my service connected conditions of allergic rhinitis, hypertension and bilateral plantar fasciitis. I went with the higher level review route and now my VA.gov site shows: The Veterans Benefits Administration is correcting an error During their review, the senior reviewer identified an error that must be corrected before deciding your case. If needed, VA may contact you to ask for more evidence or to schedule a new medical exam. …

ptsd Gulf War Vets with Vitiligo please chime in..
Hello, I'm new to this site and this is my first post.. My question is how many members of the Gulf War or any War for that matter got the skin condition Vitiligo during or after deployment??? If so has anyone won benefits for this condition? I have had this since I was deployed back in 91 however I blew it off and didn't think nothing of it because it started with two small patches.. Over the years after my deployment is has spread all over my body. My VA doctor said it is a autoimmune disease and could be the cause of my arthritus which is getting worse by the day.. I'm certain this had something to do with my deployment, but the VA doesn't seem to think so they …

Date format change for SC disabilities?
Has anyone noticed that the award date format for SC disabilities has changed? An award date under eBenefit.gov used to be 4/10/09 now has changed to 10/4/09? Since when has the VA moved to the EU date format?
