diabetes Ebenefits Expedited Claim Submitted
I wanted to thank all those who helped and provided advice and guidance for my expedited claim. I started the online claim the beginning of December and finally got all my ducks in a row last night. I submitted what I think is a well-documented claim for 5 secondary conditions. I submitted a letter of introduction covering the facts, my wife created and I submitted her letter of fact/support of my claims. For each of the 5 claims I created a separate PDF consisting of a cover sheet (with a detailed statement of the facts) and supporting documentation including chart notes and test results. It feels nice to have this submitted and now I am hoping to be able to thin…

Ebennies back up!
This is very hard to type without using a few choice words! But let me clue everyone in on this and see what kind of feedback I get. Had my BVA court hearing June 2nd, 2015 in Washington, Dc office. Everything seemed to have gone well and was optimistic some what by my rep that said it looked 50/50 leaning my way for a award decision. Pretty good feeling right? Well as we all know EB's went down for so called repair on tracking appeal decisions soon after my hearing for like 3 months and just recently came back up mid Sept. I had not gotten my transcript of my trial so I questioned that and also went to the ebennies site when it got back up and it said case with VLJ. Ok! …

E-BENEFITS AB3 COMMISARY LETTER
A commissary letter link showed up on my e-benefits yesterday. I am only 60% waiting for a NOD. My AB8 letter still shows a 60%. Is this normal. or maybe a sign of a 100% rating? I clicked on the commissary letter link but I only get this: How You Can Contact Us If you need general information about benefits and eligibility, please visit us at https://www.ebenefits.va.gov or http://www.va.gov.Call us at 1-800-827-1000. eBenefits appeals section back up
Checked yesterday and the eBenefits "appeals" section which has been down for some time is back up. I do not see any enhancements that were promised. One thing I do see is that the date a claim was received is now gone, the decision is the date first shown. In some of my own appeals the dates on that are wrong. I also note the status on things are late in updates. Recently I requested that three individual claims (reimbursement for medical expenses) be dropped, the claims are still up. Sorry if news of the site being back up as to appeals has been published somewhere else, didn't see it though.

EBenefit update question
I had a question and was wondering if any of you, who are more experienced with the VA claim process, can give some insight on my situation. I am rated at 90%; 1 year out from discharge I was having issues that corresponded with sleep apnea, I told my VA doctor and she ordered me a sleep study, lo and behold - I was diagnosed with OSA and was given a CPAP machine. I submitted a claim for sleep apnea and was denied a percentage because it was not SC'ed. I was a little perturbed because I knew I had MANY documented sleep issues while active duty, but the VA still did not SC me. I went through my SMR with my VSO and we highlighted everything that was related to sleep iss…

ptsd time line
On E-Benefits I see a claim for PTSD-I did not file a new claim- stating that estimated date for completion is 2020- 20222. I will be 75 at that time. Wll the VA retaliate when a vet reaches out to others --like a congressman? Am I paranoid?

Ebenefits
I opened an application 3/15. It is not completed. I sent in a FDC 8/15. I have not submitted the application as of yet because of my open claim. I did not know i had to submit the application to receive that 3/15 EED. If i do it now will it be 9/15 date. I have been putting it off as to not mess up the FDC. The application is for connections after the FDC Is decided.

New option box on letters
I noticed today (after the system glitched for about an hour) that there is now an option box on the AB8 (?) letter showing if you are P&T or not. Interesting as I always wondered how I might know if this status changed for me. FYI...

Gathering Evidence Phase "requested documents past due"
Does anyone know why a supervisors signature would be needed in the evidence gathering phase? I filed a claim in Aug 2015 through DAV. I checked eBenefits to see if it had shown up yet and the status is "gathering evidence". It had a triangle with a red exclamation mark and the statement: "requested documents are past due". I telephoned DAV and the lady said they weren't waiting for documents from me but was waiting for a supervisors signature. Is a supervisors signature needed for them to request a C & P exam?

ptsd Hey Folks, Got A Question.
Hello, I am new to the site don't know if this has been covered already. I was looking at my Ebenefit site under claim disabilities and it listed me with tinnitus sc 10%, degen athur back and knees 10 % and PTSD 70 % (non combat). I don't understand the non combat part. My ptsd is directly related to combat. What does this mean?
