new ebenifits mystery
I understand the feeling about ebenifits and to not trust what it says. This is a new issue I think bizarrely effected my claim. 1. 4/19/2019 I filed for an increase in current SC conditions. 2. 8/3/2019 I go to a C&P for this claim. I had to go back again 3 weeks later if forget the exact date because something was not done correctly at the first C&P. 3. 10/10/2019 I filled out an intent to file on ebenifits. I did not do anything with the application other than start the app with no other information filled out. It showed up in ebenifits. 4. 10/15/2019 my claim from 4/19/2019 shows as complete and pending notification which was updat…

VA.GOV uploaded files missing
I just logged on to VA.GOV today for the heck of it to see if anything has changed to my claim status. To my surprise, none of the docs that I have uploaded to the claim are there. The were all there Wednesday when I uploaded a new form, but today, it says I have not uploaded anything. There should be close to 10 docs. Very odd. I will log back in Monday and see if they are there I guess. If not, I have them all on my hard drive so I will resubmit them if need be

re-evalutation of temp 100% ischemic heart disease
Have a question: Am 70 years old, served in Navy 66-70, was in SAR (search and rescue) helicopter squadron from 68-69, did 3 3-4 month tours in Nam . Got triple-bypass in October of last year, and VA awarded me temporary 100 disability in Feburary of this year. The awards letter states that I will be re-evaluated Jan of 2019. Anyone have any experience with this, meaning at my age could they lower it. I was told by a few doctors that there is no cure for coronary artery disease, and chances of lowering the 100% is slim.

Back 2 Steps in Claims Process
Hey brother & sisters, I am grateful for these types of forums. I have been monitoring my ebennes claim status, and have read a few forum posts here. My claim status we from Preparation of Notification backward 2 steps to Preparation for Decision. I NEVER did see a step labeled Pending Decision Approval. Is it common to see Preparation for Notification and not to see the Pending approval part? VA claims seem to have increased in speed over the last 5 or so years, but I have not seen the crazy movement as I have on this claim. Could this be any sort of sign....I am currently at 90% and am making the push for 100% for the first time. Could there be any corr…

Preperation for decision -> Review of Evidence
Yesterday my claim moved to Prep for decision, this was a week after my latest C&P, I was feeling optimistic that the estimated completion date of 9/4 was reasonable. Today it moved back to review of evidence and my date oushed to 9/14. This is a claim with 1 increase, 2 new, 2 secondary. I filed my claim 9/24/18 it seems like a long time for a claim. Anyway, my question is: have any of you had the claim move from "prep for Decision" only to regress to review of evidence? If so, what was the timeline like?

Locating diagnosis
So I saw my mental provider today and I believe he is diagnosing me for ptsd, where can I locate the documentation for that? I didn't see it in the notes from my visit today. On ebenifits it does mention waiting 3 days but the appointment and visit details were uploaded today...?

How\Where to file for Retroactive Back Pay for a claim
I had someone review my claim for service related foot arthritis. My original claim was denied in 9/2014, saying it wasn't service connected. I filed again 3/2015 and again denied. I supplied a copy of my TAD orders and medical records on 3/2017 and was granted 20%. However, this should have been back dated to 9/2014. So does anyone know where to file for the back pay? I was told there's a spot in eBenefits, but I have yet to find it, or in Vets.org?

DEBT and the 100% P/T Veteran
I have been trying to find out why the VA doesn't have a loan program that would assist a 100% P/T veteran in eliminating debt. Since most of us get into debt because we can't hold a job because of our disabilities, it would be nice if the VA started a program that would assist us. It's crazy that they have a home loan program, a loan guarantee department, and a debt management center, but won't do anything to guarantee that the veterans have the proper FICO score to utilize the program. I think something should be done for all veterans to make sure they can get into a permanent housing situation, but at least with the 100% P/T veterans they know that they can get the loa…

hypertension Movement Preparation For Decision
I checked e-benefits today and I went from the Gathering Dust phase to PREPARATION FOR DECISION. I was some comfortable complaining about the Gathering Dust phase that the movement to PREP is feeling almost scary. Interesting that the VA just figured out that they forgot to include hypertension in my C&P last year and sent me a letter last week to report for another C&P this week to take my BP. Driving 2.5 hours to take a BP measurement is really absurd when I have a clinic 10 minutes from my house. On Wednesday I checked e-benefits to see if anything had changed. At that point still gathering military dust. Just needed to spout off and perhaps some…
