1. Effective Date Confusion

   I just saw on eBenefits that some of what I claimed was service-connected. The effective date when I click 'Disabilities' is 1/27/2017 (Intent to File), but when I generate a letter it says "The effective date of the last change to your current award was: 12/01/2017." Is one more correct than the other, or do I need to just wait for my decision letter?

3. Expedited Claims without cause?

   DAV told me there is no expediting claims anymore even for Vietnam Vets. Only terminally ill vets, homeless, or going to be homeless are expedited, so it took DAV 5 months to get my claim into the system because they trashed it the first time because they are a corrupt organization. Mr. Edwards in St. Louis for DAV got Mr Stephen Kelly his 12 years of retro pay in one week without even filing a claim, the way I read it. Dan Knabe For DAV got Mike Franko’s claim “Expedited” after he had been denied once already, also got him service Connected, got his retro pay, and got him a job with DAV as well. There was no mention of homelessness, or illness besides ptsd and knee …

4. IU

   Folks, I have 100% IU. Recently, I applied for Aid and Attendance. I went and had an exam, lasted 15 min. The Dr. never checked me physically. Naturally, it was denied, but also the prior Disability has been downgraded. I was a natural 90%. Was wondering since I was awarded 100%, IU, with P&T, will I still be at 100% IU? I recently had an appt. at the VA hospital, and my Dr. stated that I still have the original condition. I checked my eBenefit, but everything is blank. I'm wondering if I wake up if it would all change. I'm wondering if I have a fight coming up.

5. Trouble logging in

   Any keep getting a login error contact administrator if it keeps happening errror? It’s been like this for a few days but the Vets.gov works but I’m sure up to date since the two are generally linked I thought.

8. Undergoing Development with an appeal claim

   Good day good people of Hadit.com.... I checked E-benefits today and got the following status on my Work in Progress link: Undergoing Development : The Board has requested a medical opinion concerning a question involved in your appeal. You will receive a copy of this opinion and will be provided an opportunity to respond. Obviously the board is asking for a medical opinion on my appeal, but I was wondering if anyone else had this status and to give any insight on what to expect. Thanks in advance.... JFizzle

9. Claim Denied If No Ab4, Ab8 In Ebenefits When Claim Is Completed

   All Is it 90 percent certain that the claim has been denied by VA when there is no AB4 or AB8 in Ebenefits letter generator after the claim has been closed/completed by the VA?? From what I am reading on this site, That seems to be the case. If someone can chime in, I would really appreciate it. Thanks Lois

10. disability claim increase

    I had a back increase for degenerative disc disease from 10% to 20% 1 year ago. Since that time my back was correctly diagnosed by a private outside the VA Surgeon and underwent 13 level spinal fusion with 26 screws and 2 cobalt chrome rods. Surgery was 8 1/2 months ago. This surgery is definitely an increase to an existing 20 % rating. I have pain in the scar and back is painful and not healing well. PT has been slow with numerous cancellations. Now both hips are in pain and being addressed through outside pain management friday. this is all documented at the VA through the choice program. this is alot and i am looking for suggestions on my next step? I am currently 90% …

12. Aew dtd

    Hello had a few questions. Husband was made 100% p&t Aug 2017 but he has been medically retired since Jan 2013 and been collecting Va and CRSC since then. Well today we logged in and it now says retirement pay adjustment AEW dtd it’s in status under review. What all does that mean? Thank you everyone for your service.
