SA Equipment and Supplies
Now that I have been approved for SA how do I get the VA to buy my supplies and replace my CPAP from time to time? Do I go to the VA hospital to do this? If so, do I need to worry about the VA trying to say my SA is getting better and try to reduce me? I have never had the VA give me anything (meds, supplies, etc) before. I get all my meds through the military since I am retired. Thanks for your responses.

Tricare New Changes cost WAY MORE!!
Hey folks...I wasn’t sure where to put this, so here goes. I guess this year, Tricare made some changes. My total pay out is now $3,000.00 before Tricare Insurance starts to kick in. I am 100% P&T but don’t live close to a VA facility; plus, I have my daughter (16) and wife on my insurance. These amounts are piling up!!! I called Tricare and they said it doesn’t matter if I am 100% P&T. Can anyone provide me with some advice. I’ve got all the Tricare numbers/website, but is there something I am missing being 100% P&T that I am overlooking that could offset these mounting bills??? Many thanks!! Grumpbox

I'm 100%PT my wife is being medically retired from Army
So back story. I am 100%P&T, but my wife is being medically retired from Army, and we have 2children under 18 and one 18yr old living at home going to school. I am curious how the coverage works. During her out-processing they said she has to make a choice in which Tricare she is going to go with. Do we not have a choice between Champva vs Tricare? Thank you for the help. I did read the FAQ but wasn't sure if rules have changed with any of the latest changes passed by congress.

Deductibles??!?! or is it really a Premium?
so wife finally using Champva. first claim processed and we get a bill in the mail. its $50 more than the doctors services tally up to. we call champva today and they let us know this is the deductible. but this doesn't makes sense to me. i worked in the insurance field for few years dealing with medicare and medicaid along with biggies like HUMANA and BCBS etc. from what i understand the doctor bill us for about 2k. champva paid their 75% and then they added the $50 bucks on top of our 25% co-insure payments(they didnt like me calling it a copay on the phone btw...they kept correcting me saying its "cost share") so, after we get off the call because i could s…

Champva or Medicare for all
Not that it’s every going to be to the candidates but what happens to champva if Medicare for all becomes an actual thing? We will be forced to give up our champva that we earned and have to put money we don’t have into Medicare for all... just a thought ...

CHAMPVA Required?
Recently received 100% P&T, so wife and daughter are eligible for CHAMPVA. I have health insurance (FEHB) through federal gov retirement for entire family. My questions: Is Champva automatic or do you need to enroll family? Do you have to enroll/accept Champva? Are there any draw backs to enrolling family in champva if you have other insurance? I read on the OPM website, FEHB is primary payer, then champva. Thanks.

Need Help With ChampVA for my wife.
My wife is 42. My wife had solely CHAMPVA. She got sick with ESRD. She was on dialysis for several years and the state paid her Medicare Part B. She miraculously got better and she is no longer on dialysis. The state ceased paying her Part B. ChampVA subsequently dropped her ChampVA because you are required to carry Part B if you have Part A. Otherwise you lose you ChampVA. Now my wife did not realize she needed to maintain her Part B. At the time she did not have money to allocate for Part B. She did not realize she would lose ChampVA. Anyway, Social Security will not allow her to acquire Part B. So she cannot get ChampVA back. This all doesn't make sense to…
