After a couple of decades of sleep loss and four sleep studies, the VA finally determined that I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. I am not service connected for this but am rated as 70% - 100% Unemployable. My question is, how long typically does the VA take to issue a CPAP machine? I called today and spoke to an admin type and he said 6 months. This seems excessively long, is it the usual amount of time prior to issuance? What should I do to speed up the process? I'm miserable as all you CPAP users know too well.

To which I replied, "Look, I take the Sudafed ONLY when I ha…

I was seen in mental health today and they prescribed me this medication. I am supposed to go back in a month to evaluate how the medicine is doing. He said they may have to increase the dosage at that time. Has anyone used or currently using this medicine? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

I was recently prescribed this Lamotrigine to take one tablet by mouth at bedtime and increase toe two tabs after 7 day's. I took the first one Saturday and again last night. I am feeling very wozzy and unstable in walking. I take this in addition to 1mg of Alpraolam (Zanex) 4 times a day every six hours, and a slew of other meds. According to I-guard these are all a very dangerous combination. B)

For those out there with severe foot pain I am getting cryosurgery done on my feet on Wednesday. The podiatrist freezes a nerve in your foot with the idea that this will stop the pain. This is a better option than making deep and large incision in your foot. I wish a doctor would do that with my shoulder/neck pain. The doctors do something called "ablation therapy" where they cook the nerves to kill them. If you have some chronic pain the theory is that you kill the nerves to stop the pain. We will see if it helps me. There are many new procedures out there but you will not find them at the VA. You have to go afield and keep trying with alternative treatments. I have noti…
