I was prescribed Zomig by VA Neurology. I am also Sc for Heart Disease and HTN. I started to take one and I glanced at the Box. It said do not take if you have heart disease or Severe HTN. I looked it up and it has been known to cause fatal MI's. Why would they prescribe this med to someone with the risk factors? J

This morning I sent an email to President Barak Obama. It started off that I am a 100% Service Connected Veteran and although I have seen improvement at VA Medical Hospital the VA Pharmacy Meds by mail program sucks. First of all it is not voluntary and it should be. Second I have no clue when my meds will arrive by mail and if I don't get them I am screwed cause my VAMC does not allow refills at their pharmacy and that they could really care less if you have a problem. I am interested in seeing what will happen.

During and after service I had been self-medicating with Alcohol. This went on for many years. I was trying so hard to forget. One day I woke up on a couch somewhere, and a lady was giving me a plate of food (sourcrout and weiners). I took the plate. I ask her who she was. She said, "I'm Annette". After awhile I asked her where I was and what I was doing here. She said, "You live here". I was afraid to ask any more questions from that point, for a while anyway. They got worse and worse after that. It took me 5 months to get out there, and then only because Annette got the mumps. She was a nice lady, but I didn't belong there. I didn't know any other way t…

Today I git several packages from VA from Meds by mail. As I started going through I found one package had been slit open ar the right bottom corner. Since the meds were missing I thought that I could track it down and called VA to talk to the pharmacy. My luck pharmacy closed at 3:30 and my call was at 3:31 but the operator put me through to the people who fix mail problems. Unfortunately my contact did not speak English that was understandable nor in my opinion speak so that I could understand him. Anyway I tried to discuss the problem he got angry cause I did not know what the medicine was and hung up on me. So I called the Post Office and filed a theft complaint…

A very firm DRE, done with the intention of draining, or wringing out the prostate gland, we call "Drainage." Drainage has the effect of getting rid of built-up pus and dead cells, and shrinking the gland, relieving symptoms. Leakage of these "caustic contents" of the prostatic acini may be one cause of some of the sytmpoms of prostatitis. Drainage gets rid of the caustic contents, and causes the gland to refill with blood, helping antibiotics reach disease organisms. It can shrink the gland to the extent that symptoms go away, at least for a while. http://prostatitis.org/drainage.html

Yup, tomorrow it's my turn on the treadmill. Should be interesting. The last stress test I had was a chemical test because the test prior to that I passed out in the middle of the treadmill portion. But that seems to matter not to this idiot of a VA cardiologist (the same one who told me that women's chest pain is all stress-related)...as he told me I'd be fine on the treadmill. Okie-dokie doc. I've never even received any instructions in the mail for this test. Those morons. Luckily I've had several of these and already know what to do--hopefully nothing has changed. Wish me luck!!

HI, it's me. I just came back from my PCP, he did prescribe me Zoloft 100mg. I am supposed to start by taking 1/2 pill for one week and then take a whole 100mg pill after that daily. What should I expect in you guys opinion. He told me it should help with my sleep and other things. I thought I would just ask some people who have been or are taking this med. I also let him know that the Ambien Cr was not doing the job for me, average of 4 hours of sleep at night with that. Any experience would be kindly welcomed. I also still am taking Prazosin and Valium but asked for no more IB 800's and Tyleno 3's because they were not working as well as I thought they should.

PRAZOSIN HCL 1 MG CAP, take 1- 2X a day. Well, I finally got this new RX. The psychiatrist said it was actually made for prostate problems but a side effect found with it is to also help people with PTSD, she said she was RXing it to me for my PTSD. And what do they put on the label ? ? ? Take one capsule by mouth twice a day for Prostate. Just what I need to read, I'm a gay female but I am not a transgendered person, lol. I have PTSD from MST and after AD. I really don't need to be getting anything that says something like this, but I am going to be rationale about it as I know it's just a screw up. We just get tired of soooooooo many screw ups. If anyone e…
