Man, i have found my calling COMPUTERS ,they amaze me ! I do not know diddly about them ,but am learning on my own and have been checking out a site called newegg ,so i may build a super computer in my home. There is so much to learn and i am lucky to have two sons that majored in computer science in college. That is what i like about Hadit no matter what you want to get into Hadit has someone onboard that knows something about what you want to do. If i can get my hands on the money i would like to order motherboards and all the stuff you need to build a really suped up gaming or anything goes computer. I bought a new laptop and the guy at Best Buy told me that I needed to buy a wire less router to get it to work i.e. get on ineternet. I followed the directions carefully and I am not able to get it to work. something about a firewall on the laptop prevention connection. Can anyone help me. Thanks. Wife wants to pay geek squad.

I got a CCW permit here in Florida because it is just so easy, and the legislature may wake up one day and make it much harder. I want a small pistol or even revolver as a pocket gun. Plus I like to have a full size handgun by my bedside at night. There are just so many choices and I am not so familiar with handguns as with long guns. I have a Remington 870 Marine Magnum 12 gauge for last stand home defense. It kicks like a mule. Shoot fifty rounds through that gun and you won't be able to use you arm for a week. I've got Vista on two of my newer machines and I really do HATE this stuff. Can I "revert" back to XP (XP wasn't installed originally, on either of these machines, but I had it on the #3-older computer and when I did the migration from the old XP machine to the two newer Vista OS's, I had a hell of a time trying to get many (if not all) my good old "standby" programs to work with the newer OS and some of them that I really, really do use a lot, I still haven't had any luck getting to run.) I am considering buying a laptop for someone very special as a gift. If possible I would like to purchase it on line and have it shipped to me. This person is not yet computer literate and I do not foresee that they will do much more than email, photos, perhaps learn to burn audio/video DVD's and CD's and surf the net a bit. I would prefer to stay middle of the road on price, if possible trying to find out the best deal available with a trusted supplier (US company too), for around 5 - 6 hundred bucks. I'd appreciate some suggestions. Thanks for your help, sharing your knowledge and experiences.

My PC is only a few weeks old and I had to re learn much with it, and also the board here changed recently. I have a large monitor but I think they are standard for all PCs now. All of a sudden the bar at the bottom of the screen, whereby I can move each page here to read it all, disappears when I try to post. The last few days I had problems with the right hand side bar that moves page up and down.It seems other stuff at hadit pops up and over that side bar. Maybe it is because I increased the font here 2 weeks ago ? But I just tried to check that and I cannot move the page on my monitor to find any tools bars. i can not open links on hadit..pics such as jbasser's fish...gives me an error that i don't have permission to do that and must sign in..i tried logging out and back in...still get error message.

Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title. I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.
Again – Make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.
How To Post
Post a clear title like
‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery” instead of ‘I have a question."
This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”
